Ugh every 4 days / atomic / bd timing help

And sorry, I might not be understanding the every 4 day rule:

Cd 22: BD'ed at night
Cd 23: no bd
Cd 24: haven't BD'ed yet

Would the 4th day be CD 25 or CD 26?

The "every 4 days" is not set in stone. Someone who wants to get pregnant more quickly might call it CD 26, another person may even say CD 27 to be absolutely SURE they are only getting in one attempt in fertile window. Most people would call CD 26 the 4 day pattern. (I pretty much consider CD 25 to be every 3 days, this is still not too shabby and some have done this)

Oh ok, I was thinking cd25 would be the 4th day. I think for me the timing has been really bad the past 2 cycles and with an ovulation on day 25 it's just too much time and would take forever for me to ovulate and have another chance. I have no way of knowing when I will ovulate since it's been so irregular.

I agree and this to me is something you need to keep in mind - if you're only GETTING a chance every 2 months it probably behooves you to step it up a notch and be in with a viable attempt every month, even if it means doing e4 plus 1 attempt or going to every 3 days.

Thanks atomic. That actually makes me feel better. I've always (from the few cycles I have to go by) ovulated late. I've only had a few cycles in the past 5 years. I ovulated on day 30 with my son (just getting off bc pills). Cd 21 with my second (first pp period), last cycle was cd 18 (and first pp and chemical pregnancy), and this cycle is cd 25. I don't know if I'm just a late ovulator, getting used to not breast feeding, the vitex, or the chemical last cycle.
