with this totally. I have seen many, many cycles where people had 2 follicles and didn't even conceive at all, let alone twins. I have even had some couples who had been TTC unsuccessfully for a long time, proceed with DTD even with 3-4 cycles (on doc's recommendation, not mine!!) and not conceive.

I conceived my boys naturally but one did take a year of trying. I will be starting my second round of clomid tonight (dose upped to 100 mg bc I did not ovulate on 50).
I feel your frustration Kell, it's hard to learn that things are not working like they used to be. Fingers crossed that clomid is just what we need3/2010 at 10 weeks (blighted ovum)

Sigh....so I just talked to the NP at my OB/GYN's office. All of the blood work is normal. She said she wants to see what the u/s finds before making any further recommendations. She said there may be a fibroid or a polyp that she didn't feel and once she gets the u/s results she will contact me again and possibly have the doctor re-examine me. She didn't say anything either way about the clomid and I was afraid to appear too eager and ask for it.
Anyone have a similar experience? I don't understand how I can be bleeding literally every 2 weeks around the time where I would expect to be ovulating and the bloodwork is all normal but then again, I'm not sure what they were looking for either. Atomic - do you think clomid is still beneficial at this point? I just want things to be normal, I honestly don't even care about the clomid for sway purposes b/c I felt pretty good about my sway. The waiting game continues...my u/s is not until Wednesday. So I probably won't hear anything back again until Thursday or Friday.Mommy to Abigail Joyce 6/7/2010

I had a mass in my uterus that had to be removed via a hysterscopy and d&c. I was not conceiving and mentioned having a non-pregnancy ultrasound, that is when they found the mass. I had a miscarriage in May and was still not pregnant 6 months later so that was why I asked to be checked. Also I was bleeding really really heavily to the point that overnight pads were soaked in a few hours.
The ultrasound will hopefully tell you if you have a polyp or fibroid as those can cause heavy and irregular bleeding and keep the egg from implanting. Good luck3/2010 at 10 weeks (blighted ovum)

Bleeding every 2 weeks NEEDS to have more investigations though Kell. If you were to conceive and you do have a fibroid or polyp on your cervix then that could doom a pregnancy. Bleeding every couple weeks is not normal and they need to find out why it is happening.
Clomid is always beneficial. It only helps you get pregnant when things are going weird (especially the first month or two you take it)!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Just wondering if anyone wants to share updated clomid experiences
1)Dosage
2)Days clomid is/was taken in your cycle
3)Outcome (i.e pregnant - w/ 1 or 2, still ttc etc.)
4)If pregnant, how many cycles did it take to conceive?
5)Reason for taking clomid (just for a sway, do not ovulate etc.)
I had to up my dose to 100mg this month as 50 did not lead to ovulation. I am now on cd11 and waiting to see what happens.3/2010 at 10 weeks (blighted ovum)

Septembers Cycle was my first on clomid - dh and I are on a TTC/swaying break until Dec/the new year, where we will resume clomid
1)
Septembers prescription was 50 mg given to me by my family Dr
I saw the OB two weeks later who says that he prefers 100 mg and so our future clomid cycles will be the 100 mg
2)
Days 3-7
3)
Still TTC - hopefully will hear TWINS!
4)
For swaying purposes: after TTC twin girls with vitex and doing lots of research I decided I wanted to try to get a prescription for clomid.
Mt: I'm sorry the 50 mg didn't work for youhopefully the 100 mg will be what your body needs to get your sticky pink bean

Thanks Honeybug. I am really hoping the 100 will work. It sure is getting discouraging as we have been ttc for quite a while.
DH and I joke about the clomid leading to twins, yikes I would love it but man would I be busy
Good luck when you resume ttc, hope you get twins like you are hoping for.3/2010 at 10 weeks (blighted ovum)

My Dr has prescribed clomid for me and I will be trying it this cycle, what seems to be the best tactic as far as DTD? do you try ever day leading up or do you try just once at positive opk? And does DH do anything with regards to FR or do we just leave that part of the swaying while we are trying clomid?
I have also been told to take it day 2-6, is that ok? I'm new to clomid so this is a learning curve for me and I want to do the best I can with it.
