    Trying To Predict Ovulation

I seriously think I'm going to pull my hair out! Trying to predict ovulation is driving me NUTS! To make things more confusing, I haven't been able to get a positive OPK the past few months (despite EWCM, ovulation pains, and a rise in temps) so I can't rely on that at all. I'm on CD 12 today... a little EWCM started last night and continued this morning. But it's not gobs of it like I'm used to. Looking at past months, I typically only get 1 - 1.5 days of EWCM before my temp shifts. But then again, this doesn't seem like enough EWCM. But I almost always ovulate on CD 12 or 13. But still getting negative OPK. Did I already say I'm pulling my hair out here?? Flava -- how are you doing? I know you're trying right now as well. Anyone else??

    Good luck ladies!

Well all I can say is thank God timing is the least important swaying factor bcos it's driving me crazy !
I thought temping takes away ovulation confusion LOL! I'm doing OPKs and last cycle I had 3 days of +OPK arghhhh!

If you usually O on CD12 or 13, I would BD RIGHT NOW! If there's no temp shift tomorrow, no sweat, BD approx 36 hours after 1st BDing and so on. Better safe then sorry!

I have not tried smiley OPK... where do you get them? Are they suppose to be more sensitive? The past few cycles I test 1-2 times a day CD 10-14 (or until whenever I ovulate). Yesterday I think I did 3 trying to figure it out. I have never gotten more than a faint line on an OPK even when I knew for sure I was ovulating (temp increase, EWCM, ovulation pains, etc). Since I test typically twice a day I don't think I'm missing my surge... unless it seriously is only a few hours long!!

I use opks, temping, and checking my cervix. I still have a little trouble, because my temp doesn't spike after O like most people; it gradually goes up. So I am never entirely sure when I have O'ed.

I wonder why the strips don't show your LH surge?

I NEVER get a positive with the strips, so I have had to buy the expensive digitals to use when the strips show a questionable line. GL!!

I use the CB monitor and the smiley test only. I just can't guess on the strips. So for sure go and get the smiley test it's very good!

Are you testing in the morning?? Make sure you're testing midday or later and try not to drink too much right beforehand.

If I had a fairly regular O day, I wouldn't bother with temping or with OPK. They are frustrating for everyone (the pink swayers are having just as much trouble, so it isn't just a boy sway thing.) I would just start BD every other day when I expected that O was nigh, so I would BD at 4 DBO, at 2 DBO, and O, or 3 DBO, one DBO, and again on O day. This isn't strict boy timing of course, but timing has been pretty much debunked at this point.
