and it may even be LONGER than the 5-10 days, that is just a rough estimate. It's not unusual to have it be longer than that.
Beware those first false positive OPK that the Clomid causes, if you do a test 3-5 days after your last dose and it's positive, then have attempt but either keep testing or switch to e4d after that in case it was a false positive. Clomid absolutely can cause false pos OPK!!

I am thinking of buying a few boxes of the ovulplan tests and I find this brand works great for me. I plan to start testing the day after my last pill and watch the opk go neg so then I can watch for it o turn positive..... Seems extreme and expensive but I don't want to miss it .... TBH I am not excited about using clomid and the least amount of time I need to be on it the better. I just hope to get a bfp first cycle because clomid does worry me.

so I am on day 23 of my cycle, I took clomid on CD 2-6 and I got positive opk on day 14 and DTD that night. the question I am asking is does clomid change how long your cycles are? my 'normal' cycle averages about 30-34 days (has been as long as 40) but I am not sure if clomid would make my cycle even longer or perhaps make it shorter?

Clomid made my last cycle shorter because I ovulated earlier. I ovulated day 18 so my cycle was 30 days. This year my average O day has been cd30 giving me 42 day cycles.
My luteal phase was 12 days with and without clomid.
You could probably expect AF anywhere from cd 25 to cd 30ish assuming you ovulated on day 15 it depends how long your LP is. Unless you get a BFP of course!

It depends on when you ovulate and how long your LP usually is. Clomid can change both your O day and your LP so it can certainly change your cycle.
IF your LP is 14 days, you'd just expect AF 14 days after O. The first part of your cycle, the part before O, can vary in lenght so if you Oed, for example, on CD 20 usually, with a 14 day LP, you'd have a 34 day cycle. Since you probably Oed on CD 15-16 you should expect your period on CD 29-30 (if your LP is 14 days long)
NOW, that having been said, the lenght of the LP can vary a bit too, if you normally have a 10 day LP, you might normally O on CD 20 and have a 10 day LP and then get AF on CD 30. On Clomid this might mean you O on D 15-16 and then get AF CD 25-26 even. Clomid usually lengthens LP but it doesn't always, and can even shorten it for some people so it can be that you could end up with a 10,11,12 day lp even if you normally have a 14 day one.!!! well last month I used opk's to monitor my ovulation without having Clomid. 1st day of period was 12/10, positive opk was on 28/10 (CD 17), didnt get my next period until 12/11 (total cycle length 31). I havent charted my ovulation long enough to get a pattern yet though. I guess ill just have to wait and see, when do you think would be the earliest i could try a pregnancy test? im on CD 24 now.

I am not officially on the LE diet but my eating habits line up with alot of the guidelines they have for it, so I'd say I was roughly following the LE diet aswell. I'm not skipping breakfast but I am making sure its 12-14 hours between dinner the night before and breakfast the next day, so that the blood sugar can stay down.

Yeah well I am not a huge breakfast eater I never have been and I still have 2 boys. I def have changed my eating habbits tho as in I have hardly any protein and mostly carbs. No eggs and hardly any dairy just a bit of skim milk in my coffee . If I have another boy then so be it! I cant let a sway rule me as it bring the rest of the family down and tbh It wont be the end of the world if I have another boy I just wont be finding out gender until the birth this time. Unless its TWINS!!! lol
