Lightening up my girl sway

Hi Ladies!

I am interested in lightening up my girl sway. I know this probably sounds like a strange idea but I had an ectopic pregnancy in September that resulted in the loss of my right tube. We started trying again last month and got a BFN. I am currently on CD 7 of my 2nd cycle ttc after my ectopic and I am focused now on just trying to get pregnant as quickly as possible, without totally sabotaging my girl sway. With only 1 tube, my OB said my fertility has already decreased by about 20 percent so I want to try to do some more sperm friendly/boy friendly things to increase our chances of conception. I just need some help adjusting my sway from heavy girl sway to light girl sway. This past fall was just awful with methotrexate treatment and surgery, so we want to put a little more emphasis on conceiving quickly. I am going to keep up with LE no matter what and I'm doing couch potato too. At this point, I am 20 lbs lighter than when I conceived my son, my diet is the complete opposite of the boy friendly diet I was doing with him, and my electrolytes and hematocrit are on the low side for me after 2 doses of methotrexate to treat the ectopic. I am only taking folic acid, no prenatal, and plan to keep going with that plan. The changes I would like to make have to do with adding some preseed and increasing our number of attempts in the fertile window.

I know that preseed sways boy, however, ever since my ectopic, my cm has been so dry. I know that is technically good for ttc girl but we need something to make BD more comfortable!! I guess since my number one priority now is conceiving as quickly as I can, maybe the preseed would be a good choice for me? I don't plan to use the applicators or anything, just a small amount.

My other question is about increasing my attempts in the fertile window. I am thinking about going from 1 to 2 attempts in the fertile window. Would this be a good compromise between girl swaying and the more frequent BD that boy swayers do?

I am totally at peace with having another boy at this point if that is what ends up happening. I still want to find a happy medium where we can increase our odds of conception while still keeping some important elements of our girl sway. Thanks so much in advance for your help! What about using sylk for the dryness and maybe eating some if the things atomic suggests to increase fertility like full fat dairy, salmon, red meat. That way you are increasing your fertility but still on the girl side if things? I just know so many people that got boys with pre seed!

We used sylk at times and I liked it. It works and it's supposed to sway girl.

You could try elevating your hips after BD or lying on your tummy afterward. I did that last cycle and got pregnant but unfortunately it wasn't sticky. Pre-seed is definitely sperm friendly and I got two boys using it but I realize it's completely possible to get a girl using it since it's lifestyle overall that sways. I think if you're trying to up odds of conception and really need lube, Pre-seed is a good option.

Also with the attempts in the fertile window, when we got pregnant, we had something like 5 attempts in the fertile window. We DTD everyday and we ended up with a girl. So maybe try that? I didn't jump and dump either. I stayed in bed for a bit afterwards.

You could also BD every 4 days AND also one more time at positive OPK. I've seen atomic recommend that to people.

Sylk is a great lube to use and I have seen it recommended for girl swayers on another gender swaying website as well. If I was trying to increase my fertility and chances of conception I would definitely use Sylk as opposed to preseed. I'm sorry I can't give advice as per timing. I have heard that BD right through the fertile window can increase chances of a girl, but Atomic has suggested to myself and others to BD every 4 days from AF through O or every 4 days plus one attempt when you get your first positive OPK. I hope you get your BFP very soon.

I actually think pre-seed is a good idea. Do not use sylk, it does not increase fertility and chances of conception - it does the opposite. (Though sylk might still be the right move for other people, for example someone with lots of ewcm and trying to do a strict girl sway, or someone that's not in a hurry to conceive.)

I personally started using pre-seed this cycle (bfn so far) and will continue to do so in the upcoming cycles too. I'm not swaying, just trying to get pregnant with any baby, so I'm using it internally where I think it helps sperm the most. But I think using just a little bit externally is a good compromise if you want things more slippery and comfortable but don't want to sway boy.

You might have heard this already, but it is possible for one good tube to serve both ovaries. So if you're ovulating from the ovary where you lost the tube, the remaining tube is flexible enough to pick up that egg too! Of course I have no idea if that is true for everybody, but they have found it to be true for some women at least so the possibility exists.

Thank you guys so much for your input! I think we will go with using a little preseed externally and trying multiple attempts at pos opk this month and see what happens...I'm a little nervous but I know in my heart that I just want a healthy baby and pregnancy this time after all we have been through! But of course, a pink one would just be the icing on the cake!!

Also Eko, yes my doctor did tell me right before they did my surgery that my one tube could actually serve both ovaries! That is amazing and I hope that's what happens for me since he said it doesn't happen for everyone!!

What I would have you do is use a small amount of Preseed as a lube (larger amounts seem to sway blue, but small amounts appear neutral) I'd not go with Sylk at this stage of the game, it is a good lube but it does kill sperm.

Have unprotected attempt every 4 days and then ALSO have one attempt at positive OPK. I think this is actually better odds of conception than just having 2 attempts back to back because you're covered in case you O later or sooner than you think you will. Also usually give DH more time to recover between attempts.

Additionally, I'd try adding in a female O for you and laying flat 15-30 min if you haven't been.

YOu can also add in Robi/Muci (guanefesin only) 5 days before you expect to ovulate, this helps make more natural CM.

I can't say if you should do ALL these things in one month, or space them out over 2-3...leaving that up to you.
