I would stay TOTALLY far from the black cohosh. That stuff is bad mojo.
EPO when taken WITH an equal or greater amount of Omega 3 and/or animal fat probably sways blue but you can't use it with Clomid.
Again, Clomid by far and away best chances. no need for a trigger if you O on your own although some docs like to use them.
9-11 servings of fruit and veg is never a bad thing, it's what we are all supposed to be getting (I'm falling pretty short on that myself)
Trying to find out when you are hyperovulating and TTC only in months you are, would cost a small fortune and take a long time to conceive, additionally as we have seen, there's no guarantee even a little for twins - we've seen people who released two eggs or even 3-4 who only conceived one. So that would be a huge outlay of money for no guarantee. Plus you'd be hard pressed to get a doc to go along with that as they are generally not supportive of twinning, and additionally additionally LOL, you only are able to take Clomid for 6 months at a time and so you cannot be skipping any months on Clomid, since that would be your best chance by far anyway.
Don't worry about the odds and percentages, those don't mean that every individual has that chance. It's not a dice you're rolling with a certain number of sides, it's the average across the population. Some people prob. have less, others more - no way to know your individual chance.Just feel good that you have as good a chance as anyone does.

Hey atomic sagebrush, thanks for the info. I get what you're saying about hyper ovulation and odds. I'm just gonna do the extra folic acid along with my prenatal and talk to my doctor about clomid. The simpler the better works for me. The other thing I was thinking of taking was a b complex vitamin. I had my blood checked recently and my b12 was kinda low (250) but my doctor wasnt concerned at all... i think that is too low though from what I've read online.
I was talking to my mom to get more info about her pregnancy and I learned a bunch of new things. She told me that she had unexplained infertility at 33. One of the the things they thought it might be was PCOS and then it turned out it wasn't and they never found out what it was. So actually, is no PCOS, I just got that mixed up, The doctors eventually decided that the infertility was because of her age. I also found out that she eventually got pregnant after after 5 rounds of pergonal and IUI. I never knew she had IUI's to conceive my brother. This was the first time she told me about it, she seemed a little embarrassed. She also told me how she had 7 mature follicles once. I don't think that is that uncommon but I was pretty surprised. Oh and the best thing she told me was that my grandma's (her mom) sister was also a twin! Her twin brother was still born though. I THOUGHT I had more twins in my family, but I wasn't sure, so it was pretty cool to hear.
I am seeing my ob/gyn in about a month, so I am thinking of what I want to discuss with her. I don't have a personal history or infertility and I ovulate normally. About 6-7 years ago I randomly lost my period for a year and I've had a few tiny cysts here and there through out my life. Other than that, I've been fine. But of course I am starting to get a little worried because of my moms history. Do you think I should bring that up? Do you know if there are any older threads on here about how talk to your doctor about possible fertility meds in the future?

Doctors are a funny bunch, some of them hand out the Clomid very freely and others refuse it even to people who need it to get pregnant. Ya never know what you're going to get. The best way to get Clomid is to say you've been TTC for over a year and haven't gotten pregnant. Many times they'll just give you a prescription. They may want to do blood tests first and if that is the case just say ok thanks and then either don't show up for the blood tests, or if you do go, it's no big deal anyway becuase many people with unexplained infertility (which won't show up on bloodwork) still get the Clomid in the end anyway. Don't go in asking for it or demanding it and under no circumstances mention that it is because you want twins, because you won't get it that wy. YOu're there for help getting pregnant, not Clomid. If they say no, just say ok thanks and go on your way, don't throw a fit about it or anything, that's not the way to get it either.
I don't recommend B complex, just take a prenatal with 100% of B vitamins in it. Megadose B have a bad side effect of messing up your cycle.
Pergonal does make a lot of follicles, 7 isn't unusual.
I wouldn't go into your mom's history, they won't take that too seriously. BEst way is to say you TTC for a year and haven't gotten pregnant.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

For what it's worth my friend took one round of Clomid 50mg (no fertility issues, just had been trying for a year and hadn't fallen and was desperate to be pregnant) and she just gave birth to b/b fraternal twins! She also knows nothing about swaying so not like she was trying haha.
I also took Clomid (3 rounds 100mg) and fell pregnant with a single, however, I had fertility issues, no period, high FSH, etc. I think though that I may have ovulated more than one egg (I have two cysts on my ovaries. That doesn't mean anything, but could be a possibility!).
So I think you've got a good chance at twins with no fertility issues and Clomid! Good luck - I boy swayed too on Clomid but am staying team green until May, although I think it's a boy. [emoji6]

Hi, thank you for the information!
I am interested in a boy/boy twin! My partner and I, we have no fertility issues and are in quite good shape. I am 27 and he is 30.
Twins do not run in our families, but high fertility does (we weren't safe for once, and I got pregnant immediately). We were not trying to get pregnant and were not planning on having a baby this year. Thank God it happened, I can't imagine myself not being pregnant.
If I would take clomid and high folic acid dose, after six or seven months my first baby is born, would there be any chance given the information above?
