    Body Type For Certain Gender

This post is not meant to offend anyone... I have no idea what any of you look like so I was just curious about your perceptions on this. Of the people I know... women that have 3 or more girls tend to be fitter. Not necessarily stick thin, but most apt to be able to run a few miles and you would look at them and say they are lean. The women that I know that have 3 or more boys aren't necessarily obese (or even overweight for that matter) but just tend to carry more weight with them and don't exercise much at all. Is this true of the people around you that you know with three or more of one gender? The reason that I say three or more is b/c I think anyone can honestly end up with 2 of the same gender very easily... I think it starts to become more of a pattern once you hit three or more of the same gender (just my opinion).

Also, just an outside observation as well... the women that I know that have three or more girls all are very small chested whereas the ones with boys have larger chests.

This would maybe play into Atomic's HE/LE diet theory wouldn't it? Just curious what everyone else thinks (and again, not trying to offend anyone in the least!).

I guess I fit that perception! I have 3 boys and my weight fluctuates but I'm never skinny or particularly toned. I have big bones (stuggle with bracelets and watches no matter what I weigh!) and big calf muscles (hereditary - all the women in our family have them!). I'm pretty fit and can go for a run or an exercise class without a problem, but I rarely actually do that. My boobs aren't massive but they're not tiny either! I don't know anybody in real life with 3 or more of one gender!

Honestly from the many people I know.... picking a few!

Neighbor 1 has 2 girls and 1 m/c... very thin, small frame, eats a lot of soy dairy and low cal foods, mostly lazy with a monthly exercise activity, and hubby has medical conditions that lowered sperm count.

Neighbor 2 has 4 girls and who knows if any m/c... very very tall, overweight, eats lots of junk and premade dinners, no exercise, and doesn't believe in dieting. They wanted a boy so they kept trying.

Cousin 1 has 4 girls and 3 boys... very tall and a little over weight for height. eats a rounded diet but did loose weight before each girl was conceived and the last girl was born at 38yo.

Cousin 2 will soon have 2 boys m/c twin boys and a girl... very very over weight 300+ lbs. eats a lot of salty and unhealthy foods.

Cousin 3 has 3 girls and 1 boy... very rounded diet and over all a healthy person. she used timing to conceive her son.

Cousin 4 has 3 girls and is pregnant with unknown... conceived all girls while dieting but is still over weight and short. she used abstaining and timing for resent pregnancy.

Cousin 5 has 2 girls and 1 boy... very thin and always dieting. Son was conceived after a really bad stomach illness and she was on a high calorie diet for 6mths.

Me... I was very skinny but I was gained about 10lbs before DS1, never lost any weight after and got preg with DS2, currently trying to loose weight because I am 5'6 and a little over weight for my height. I am small framed but have a fat stomach and butt area... I used to be very fit and bike racer!

I know lots of people with 3 of one gender and wouldn't say they fit the patterns particularly. My mum had 3 girls, then a boy, she was slim but not thin with small boobs, she did watch what she ate and definately not toned! My aunt had 4 girls, she was neither slim nor larger, not toned with big boobs. Three of my friends have 3 boys, they are all normal sized (uk 12) with average boobs and not ultra toned but not flabby either!! I only have 2 boys but I am thin with small boobs and have always been naturally toned.
Not offended at all btw, I love this sort of stuff, it's fascinating

Me- 5'6" and about 170lbs when DS1 was conceived(so about 20-30lbs overweight). 180lbs when DS2 and DS3 were conceived. I'm very large boned- like Z I have a hard time getting bracelets or anklets to fit. Everything about me is med-large. Hands/fingers(sz 7.5 ring finger), large bust(DDD) and a tummy since having kids. I have thunder thighs too....yay. I'm not unfit though. Well, not usually I am now but before TTC this one I was walking/jogging at our local track 5-6 days a week and can hike quite a distance. I used to ride horses competitively as well for many years before my kids came along. I feel that with my body type and temperament(I am very outgoing, talk about anything to anyone, speak my mind and have no problems telling others what I feel, plus I tend to get angry easily ) I fit into the boy category everyone talks about. I'm pretty darn certain I would end up with 7 boys if we kept going...LOL

So this is where I come from in just the few of my friends/family I can think of off the top of my head (again, I'm only using examples that have at least 3 or more of one gender and if they have mixed gender, it is very lopsided to one side).

Friend 1 - 4 girls (very fit, always at the gym with me, normal size)
Friend 2 - 4 girls (lean, not sure of her physical activity level)
Friend 3 - 3 girls (very lean and fit, always at the gym)
Friend 4 - 4 girls (very athletic, always very easily returns to her pre-preggo lean size)
Friend 5 - 3 girls (overweight, only person I can think of that doesn't fit my theory in my life)
Friend 6 - 3 girls (normal weight but super active, does triathlons with me and my DH)
Friend 7 - 3 girls ( thin and active, used to be a model and still looks like it)
    Cousin 1 - 3 girls ( thin, super fit)

    Now for the boys...
Friend 1 - 4 boys (never been active in her life, carries extra weight but not obese)
Friend 2 - 4 boys, 1 girl (very overweight, does not exercise at all... her one girl was conceived when she was breastfeeding and losing weight from her 1st pregnancy)
Friend 3 - 3 boys (very athletic and smaller... one friend that doesn't fit my boy sterotype)
Friend 4 - 5 boys, 2 girls (not active at all, carries lots of extra weight, large boobs)
    Friend 5 - 3 boys (overweight)
SIL - 4 boys, 1 girl ( no one would say she's overweight but she carries extra weight for her body frame and for how small she used to be, not active, eats TONS of salt; her one girl came shortly after DS1 was born and she was losing the baby weight from him)

I have 3 girls as well and am very active and toned (I used to be a personal trainer and I do triathlons). Most mornings you can find me at the gym As a side note, I also used to eat the girl diet to a tee (including 3-4 times the RDA of calcium each day!)! Anyway, given the people around me you can see why I would come up with this theory! I just thought it would be interesting to see what other's experiences are.

I am 5'9" and has always been fit and thin except after ds4 I weigh about 180 and let myself go into depression and gained all this weight but after ds1,2,&3 I worked my butt of to get back to my pre pregnancy weight of 125/130. I am big chested always been a double D, my sister is very obese and recently had a girl, my mom has yo yo with her diet all her life and has 3 girls so I dont know

    i am 5'4"
    i have 4 boys.
before i had kids i was a small build (australian 8-10)with big boobs DD cup.
i did gain probably 2 kg in the couple months before conception of DS1
i gained weight with my first pregnancy i could never shift, since then i am average build,(Australian 12) , apart from when i am pregnant, i have always been able to maintain my weight, but had trouble losing it.
which kind of rings true for the weight gain =boy thing.

but, i actually lost 8 kg in the 2 1/2 months before i conceived my youngest, i had just had an ectopic and i was pretty thrown by it all , the weight fell off, and he was another boy.
but i was pretty stressed out at the time so maybe that had something to do with it.

I'm 5'3" and have hovered around 130lbs since hitting puberty (and before I lost 20 lbs on the LE diet). I don't consider myself unhealthy, but I've never exercised regularly or dieted and I loooove to eat. I had average sized boobs until this diet made them deflate - I went from a C cup to an A cup! I've always had an hourglass shape - large hips, small waist. My mom, who had 3 boys before having me, had a similar shape and lifestyle to me when she was young.

I know several moms of 3 boys who all seem to have similar body shapes to what I used to look like or are a little heavier, verging on overweight. I know a few moms of 3 girls, and most of them are pretty slim. I don't know any of them well enough to know about whether they exercise or what they eat.
