From what I read they can be a false positive for a few days after stopping Clomid so just wondering when the results would be accurate.
You can get false positives if you OPK test too soon. It's recommended you wait 3 full days from your last dose. So, if CD 7 was your last dose then you wouldn't want to test until CD 10 or 11.

I count the day after OPK+ as ovulation day and then the next day as 1dpo (1 day past ovulation). This is what has lined up with my temps. Some women may be different though.

Re: OPKs etc, if you have been charting thoroughly for a while (temping, noting CM, CP and OPKing), you can often pinpoint the day of O reasonably accurately. Just OPKs alone don't tell you that much, but most women with regular cycles will O the day after the first positive OPK. Oing 2 days later is next most common, then less likely but still possible are Oing on the day of the first positive or 3+ days after it. So I'd assume in your case that 2 days after your first positive is 1DPO.
Agreed! I fit in the 2 days after category

75% of my cycles I O the day after my first positive OPK, 15% of them I O 2 days after, 5% 3 days after, 5% on the same day as my first positive. Those being approximations over 6 years of OPKing.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Wow, that's really specific lol. So specific in fact that it made me curious enough to look at my charts. Until last year I hadn't OPK tested since I was trying to get preg with my youngest and he is 5! Turns out my stats are quite different when I don't just consider the last year! 50% of the time I O'd the day after my first +OPK (though it should be noted that there were a some cycles where my first test taken was + or I didn't test a day or two and when I tested again it was +... so there is some margin for error). Only 26% of the time I O'd 2 days after (that was a surprise!). 16% of the time I O'd 3 days after my first +OPK and, finally, 8% of the time I O'd 4 days after! Which got me wondering more about the last year and 33% of the time was the day after (same disclaimer above applies to these as well), 51% of the time I O'd 2 days after and 16% of the time O O'd 3 days after. Interesting! For some reason I had it stuck in my head that I always O'd 2 days after but that apparently is not the case...

Jan 2016 TTC / Testing - New Year BFPs!

I think I'm going crazy.. I just tested 2x in one day!!!

Has anyone ever contemplated deleting fertilityfriend, deleting tapatalk, and signing off all swaying websites and just let mother nature decide your fate??? I've thought about it and would love to let go of this stupid stress! But I just can't bring myself to stop thinking about ttc! I can't shut it off lol!
    Rowan Mesler - 3/15

Clomid and IUI #1 - 12/16 was unsuccessful

I deleted tapatalk (again) the other day... I still come on the website however but its not as easy to just quickly check. Fertility friend isn't too bad as I just have the free version, I spent way too much time on it when I was a VIP while TTC#1 & #2 so I'm not getting VIP membership, I'm also not charting anymore as it is too stressful.

I know what you mean about thinking about ttc too much! I wish I was one of those people who just got pregnant without thinking about it much.

Yes! Both SILs didn't have to chart anything... They just used opks and tried once and got pregnant immediately. And both had boys -_- they're so lucky!!

Down over Christmas one of them had to take the morning after pill. And here I am not even falling pregnant with IVF. [emoji17]

twointow, awesome to see your own stats! There is definitely a margin of error, but it's interesting to see how much variation there is between cycles AND over time. I haven't done the math on individual years but I can tell you that I used to O almost exclusively the day after, with occasional on the same day. I, like you, seem to O less regularly/less frequently the day after over time.
