    What is it about the girl sway makes conceiving more difficult?

    Hi ~

    I was wondering what exactly it is about the girl sway that makes it more difficult to conceive?

    I am on clomid and will be starting my second round soon. I am reconsidering my sway and thinking about what I need to cut out or reduce to conceive more quickly.

    My sway is clomid, folic acid, LE diet, lots of diet coke and CL (from af to o, since I didn't drink it during the 2ww), DH drinking lots of diet coke and CL too, frequent BD and through ovulation, and a few ion things.

    I will be adding preseed to my sway.

    My dh wants me to start my prenatal again. He thinks that it may be hurting our chances of conceiving. Is this true??? Is there anything about taking the prenatal that will help us hold onto a conception? We are pretty certain that I had a chemical this cycle.

    Thank you for any help!!!

    Any suggestions as well!!

    you lower your fertility, make your uterus/CM more hostile, reduce total CM, and lowering sperm count reduces chances too. All of those things can make it hard to conceive. Those who do a cut-off have an extra obstacle too as you only have a 30% chance each cycle if DTD on OV day and if you have normal fertility... so it's already less than that for a pink sway.

    I guess it's possible that not taking multivits will make it take longer... but then they also go against a lot that the LE diet is about. Then again, if you are taking months and months to conceive and doing any diet that isn't necessarily healthy either and if you don't get pregnant you have no chance of getting a girl.

    I'm so sorry you feel you had chemical hh. {hugs}

    Are you taking baby aspirin? I was taking it less regularly leading up to our attempt but every day during the 2ww and I'm weaning myself off it now. I believe the way that helps is that it thins the lining so that there's more veins and stuff for the bean to hold in to (I think I Lola wrote this somewhere!). I believe it's sometimes recommended to take with Clomid too.

    Thank you! I agree... taking the multi would be going against the diet...

    My explanation of why it's good to take aspirin was not good lol! Atomic posted this link and said it's sometimes prescribed to ladies taking Clomid to help with lining:

    I have researched the baby aspirin quite a bit after learning of it's benefits from Atomic, a few friends have recurrent miscarriages and I was telling them about the benefits. I feel very good about what I have read and have included it in my sway and plan to take it for the first few weeks after a BFP as well. I would be concerned that the prenatals would make you too "healthy" and goodness knows tons of people conceive without them. I am not under the impression that they do anything specific to aid in conception. I am not taking them during my sway but will take them as soon as I get a BFP as well as a good DHA. I actually am so excited about the prenatal and DHA I just ordered. They sound really great and it's driving me nuts that I can't take them yet but it's worth it. As long as you take the folic acid you are good to go!

    I'd talk to your GP before taking any aspirin when TTC - as said above it's a blood thinner so will only really help those women who have recurrent MCs due to "sticky blood". In healthy women it can actually be harmful.

    I agree with rainbowflower however, I do think a small dose of baby asprin *shouldn't* be too harmful. I am ordered to take it when ttc because of recurrent MC and I take it all through my pg. Talk to your GP or Ob (whoever is prescribing your clomid) and get their thoughts on it. They may test your blood first.
