Ugh! How rude Z! I always say stuff back to the rude people as well I can't help it! Just recently I had a woman tell me that she hopes that I don't have any more kids as it'll just "end up being boy #4". I was so shocked I had this stupid look on my face for a good 10 seconds. I then said, "Well it's really none of your business whether or not we have a fourth child, and I'll be praying for a boy as I would be mortified to have a daughter that ended up being anything like you, lady". She shut up. I went red I was so mad. Most people are fine and mind their own business....and then the select few shock the pants off you.
Oh and I agree with the above statement. I think that 1/4 of DH's money goes to food.... sigh.

if i dont do the mellow thing i think i would kill them....lol,,
but seriously they are good most of the time , but they seem to rev each other up, so one will start and the rest will follow, next thing you know, there are 3 all going in different directions not one of them listening to anything i say, touching things they shouldnt, screaming and laughing at each other, which is why i dont take them all unless there is no other option, better to avoid the chance.

and LMAO at DoulaMama, you sound like me.
only a few weeks ago we were shopping and my eldest decided it would be fun to do a homer simpson on the 5 year old, had his hands around his throat and was squeezing,
i slapped him on the arm and told him off, about how dangerous and stupid it was. this old bag next to me gave me the filthiest look and was full on glaring at me shaking her head because i slapped him.
i was like, would you prefer i let him choke him to death, she shook her head and pulled a stupid face, then i said, you probably would actually , you look like you would eat your own young.
she pfft at me and stormed off in the other direction.

Lmao I had something similiar happen to me dannikins lol I was trying to find something on the shelf and my 3yr old starts screaming and I turn and see my almost 2yr old(sitting in the shopping cart) with a wad of his older brothers hair(who was walking by the shopping cart) and he was bashing his head up against the shopping cart lol I slapped his hand and told him no and he hurt brother its not funny, checked for damage on my 3yr old he seemed fine(did get a slight bruise on cheek that showed up later) and then I get a lecture from an old granny how I shouldn't of slapped him it was just good old fashion boy rough housing, umm okay that would make me parent of the yr just let my almost 2yr old bash his older brothers head in the shopping cart until he gets a black eye or nose bleed before I call it off?? It really amazes me how people can't mind their own business, andi get the comment a lot about #5 just being another boy, I am an idiot to believe I can actually have a girl blah blah lol I try not to let it bother me

I have to be honest, in that i let my kids eat stuff in the supermarket then put it through the till half eaten! It is amazing how understanding Tesco are to half eaten brioche and a pack of 6 apple juices going through with 2 empty!!!

I think we all do an amazing job with kids especially while shopping and sometimes people forget what it is like to have more than one child to deal with in a shopping trolley! Do what you can ladies to get it all done and screw anyone else with an opinon on your parenting!!

I have pooped open food for my little ones more than once to help keep them quiet.as long as your paying i say go for it.Once when i was about 6 months pregnant with my 5th child and i started feeling very sick and dizzy in Walmart and i knew i was going to pass out soon so i popped open a full size bottle of apple juice and started chugging it,my dh was coming up the aisle and said out loud "what the heck are you doing?" lmao desperate times call for desperate measures.

    That's so funny queen-of-harts!

I give mine food in the supermarket too - but if DS3 had his own way he'd try everything I put in the trolley! He takes after me

personally I wouldn't open anything I hadn't bought (you never know if for some reason your card might be refused at the till - I've had mine refused before when the bank locked down my card thinking it might have been stolen after some "unusual" transactions on it) - if I know my DS is likely to be peckish when out grocery shopping I make sure I've bought a snack from home in my handbag that he can have instead.
