Well I def think going that route is better than picking up guys at clubs!that would be really awkward. And you know little about them in such a short time ya know?

Maiden you are saying your sperm doner is not ideal.. May may still end up with a child with Abnormalities. Nothing wrong with my hubby and I, but we have ended up with 3 boys with ADHD, type 1 diabetes and learning difficulties.

Has anyone here used injectibles? I'm debating moving to those from clomid but they're so expensive. Clomid is $20 and they're $600 but the chances go from 8-10% to 15-20%. Af is due tomorrow and I'm feeling symptoms so getting depressed. Especially after the false hope of the cp last month.

I'm so annoyed. I was POSITIVE that O day was yesterday. My ewcm is gone, my cervix was high and out of reach.... by yesterday evening it lowered a little bit so I was sure it had happened. This morning... no temp spike. And my cervix is high again. I'm still having intense cramps, cm is creamy.
I'm quite annoyed that I missed my positive opk.
Anyway, what I'm worried about is that our one attempt was too much of a cut off. We dtd Sunday night.... I had ewcm and cramping. (My cramping doesn't usually last this long). So today is Wednesday and I haven't O'd yet. The e4d rule would put us at dtd tomorrow right? But if I O today then it'll be too late and I just have to hope that the spermies lived long enough to catch the egg? I'm nervous because we've been doing FR and he even released 4 hours before our attempt... and then when we dtd he released shallow. So now I'm scared that there wasn't enough.
I know I probably just need to chill out. Thanks for letting me vent lol

Keep your hopes up Quinn your not out yet.
Maybe you could justify the injectibles just for one cycle, taxmas is coming you know, just so you could give yourself peace of mind that at least you tried it.

Quinn I've got my FX so tight for you! I so hope you get a BFP this cycle!!
Kmomofthree, sometimes the temp rise can be a bit delayed as BBT is not 100% accurate in pinpointing O day (although it's way better than just using OPKs). Your body may also have geared up to O then didn't for whatever reason. It IS possible to get pregnant with an O-3 attempt even with second batch. With my second loss, we had conceived with an O-2 attempt and DH had released 5 or 6 hours prior (didn't know he'd helped himself until after we'd DTD). I'd just stick with the E4D pattern because if you O'ed today and you DTD today, then you'd end up with two attempts in the fertile window. If you end up with just the O-3 attempt then that's pink friendly because there would be fewer swimmers left.'12

Ok thank you. I just needed reassurance. Each time we've ever ttc we just dtd all the time... and I have all boys. It's hard for me to imagine one single attempt working.

Nann, I trust my intuition 100% and I am SUPER decisive; I feel confident in my assessment of 99% of people in under 15 minutes of interaction. Often within seconds. So I don't need much time at all! I'm really good at picking up....or at least I used to be, in the US, I haven't tried here yet. But I have a lot of confidence so if there is someone appropriate I have a good shot. Bringing up the sperm donor issue isn't something I relish but I have nothing to lose and there's no real bad outcome. I can handle rejection.
Ive also seriously considered trying gay clubs, as I'd love to have a rainbow family. And in that scenario a gay couple may/should feel less threatened/concerned about sperm donation stressing their relationship, I would think?
Beautifulrainbow, of course it wouldn't be the end of the world but I would prefer to avoid as many genetic health issues as possible. I already have a dominant autoimmune condition (rheumatism) so I'd prefer not to have his gluten intolerance/hypothyroidism which is also dominant autoimmune. Mental health issues don't bother me though, they generally correlate with high intelligence so often a good thing, plus they make people interesting. I don't necessarily consider them flaws like I do many more visible/physical aspects. Since I have the opportunity to choose my donor (which I wouldn't to the same extent if married) I want to make the most of that by making the best choice. So my situation isn't really comparable to a married couple's.
Quinn, I used injectables last month and had a great response, 4 mature eggs, great hormone levels, lining, nice 14 day LP, followed by the heaviesr, most normal AF I've had since I started swaying pink. I had 5 days low dose FSH (Gonal F) injections. See last month's chart for more details. Unfortunately my donor was unable to successfully ejaculate until at least 6 hours after I Oed which is probably the primary reason I didn't get a BGP. His hypothyroidism negatively affects his sperm too.
Kmom, that is soooo frustrating I had a cycle in which the same exact thing happened to me except I Oed a lot later in my cycle, later than is normal for me even as a naturally late Oer. Our bodies can really mess with us when swaying & TTC, and it's common to have an O fakeout, so to speak. Ive learned that temps are usually much more reliable than other signs. I wouldn't attempt until tomorrow but I would definitely attempt tomorrow in case you don't O for another day or two which unfortunately is always possible. Though I hope you see a big temp spike tomorrow!
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period
