Jan 2016 TTC / Testing - New Year BFPs!

Girlie I don't have much advice to give since I don't have a DD and my boys are quite close in age but my nieces are nearly 5 years apart in age. I remember my BIL was hoping for a boy partly because he was worried about my niece no longer being the only princess in the house. She gets along great though with her little sister and is of great help. I think as they get older, they'll be best friends despite the age difference. I do think the transition was tougher for my niece than it was for my DS1 when DS2 was born since my boys are less than 2 years apart. It takes time for all kids though to adjust to a new addition to the family.

I was going to try every 4 days this cycle, starting in day 8 (which was Saturday) but I got sick and it was the last thing I wanted to do! Now on heavy duty antibiotics for 10 days, does anyone know if up this would affect conceiving/if it's dangerous?! Feeling much better so might start day 12 (normally get positive opk day 16) - so days 12,16 & 20, which would still be one attempt in fertile window. Anyone got any advice?

I think atomic says that if you need the antibiotics, then they take precedence. But I don't think they effect your odds of conception.

Quick question. I got pos opks Saturday and Sunday. And then a negative opk today. We attempted Saturday and Sunday. Should we attempt today? Or should we stop attempt till my fertile window has passed now?

Anyone testing soon? Sorry I haven't kept the first page up to date. It says I was due to test yesterday but I didn't expect to be only 5dpo then.

Yup Nann I'd do one more too. I had never really kept testing once I got my 1st +opk but I did a couple of cycles & found the day I got a - opk seemed to be the day I o'd.

Girlie - part of the reason why we have only recently been ttc & I've been off the pill for over a year is because my dh kept changing his mind. He did & then he thought of finances & car arrangements & how much it ties me down etc & so he would say no I'm happy with our 3 healthy girls. I told him how I felt & that I had a deep yearning for another baby etc.

Purple - yup I'm the same, had my test date as today, but o was later than I expected.

Definately dtd again nann. You may have caught the tail end of surge hence the neg opk bit could still be o anytime now if you havent already. Dtd again wont hurt just gives you an extra attempt and covers all bases
