Temping makes it easier to pinpoint exact day of ovulation but doesn't help beforehand - you only know you've ovulated from the temp spike the next day, by which point you're too late to BD! OPKs predict that you'll ovulate in the next 24-36 hours so you can BD in time. Personally, both stress me out and I just go by CM which isn't always ideal (as in last month when I relied on having 3 days of EWCM and so we had our attempt on day 2.... I then went on to have an extra 3 or so days of EWCM so we missed the egg completely!) If I have irregular cycles again I will use OPKs again. I have used them in the past but I have a short LH surge which means I usually miss it, unless I am POAS 6x a day - and this makes me neurotic about it! I used to temp but I haven't done for a while (again - I got obsessed, and also it's not that helpful in advance). I would say do what works best for you. Can't hurt to try OPKs for a month?

I would do e4d instead in this case.

I didn't know that atomic, I always assumed I ovulated on the last day of EWCM! Maybe I'm not it this month then! Thanks!

I also occasionally have 1- 2 days of EWCM after O. Most cycles O happens on my last day of EWCM or first day of creamy CM but sometimes not until 2nd or 3rd day of creamy CM. CM really ISNT very reliable at all. I've had sooo much variation since/while swaying too.

I have noticed cycles where it's (seemingly) gone for 2-3 days before I O and like I mentioned, also after O. If I had used EWCM as my guide (in the way it's suggested on some of the other sites, that CM dries up as soon as you O or whatever)with my daughter, I wouldn't HAVE a daughter because I had it for at least 2ish days afterwards. I was shocked when they told me when I had oed. I thought I had no chance of conception with when I BD because I still had CM. :/
