You know it's really weird we have been talking about this because I have noticed something weird too, in that I have always had a pretty major pooch even when I was super thin before and exercising a lot. I would lose weight from my head down to my belly button, and my knees up to my mid thigh, and there it would stop, which I hated because I felt like I looked very out of proportion. (and this was true with my weight loss before DS 4 too) but subsequently I feel like I do have a different fat distribution with a more spread out pattern. This may be age related but it is interesting

Having just seen the pic of you when you got your BFP, I have to say:

    1. I can't ever imagine any part of you was 'chunky', though I can envision a more voluptuous version of that pic...nowhere NEAR chunky though

    2. You were right to correct yourself, your belly was definitely still flat. You clearly have never had a pouch and I hope you never do! (I have always had a major pot belly for my extremely small boned, otherwise thin & lanky build, even at BMI 14, and even 1 year post liposuction; I will get a tummy tuck when I'm done having kids.)You have a bangin' body of which you should feel damn proud.

And yes, it's clear you DID YOUR BEST with your sway which is all ANYONE can do. I hope that brings you acceptance if not comfort should you find you are definitely having a boy. And maybe you can work on DH re: HT or another sway, if you want to go either route.

Hopper, congrats on your boy! I'm sorry you didn't hear girl but you sound so in peace with your third boy. I really want to feel like you do if we will have our third boy as well. It's amazing that your DH says you could try for a fourth! (This will definitely be our last, DH keeps reminding me about it. Maybe that's why I feel so nervous about the gender as I know there will absolutely be no more chances.) I am happy you are feeling so good about your little baby boy, he will be really special! All the best for you and your family Hopper. And good luck if you decide to sway again someday!

Congratulations Hopper! I'm sorry you didn't hear girl but you really had a great sway. I'm glad you feel okay having a boy and have the door open to a fourth. Best wishes to you

Hugs sweetie! You put your all into your sway and gave it your best shot. I too had a failed sway and was blessed with my DS3. I will tell you he will melt your heart and once you meet him you will see he is the perfect addition to your family. Good luck to you if you decide to sway and try again for a fourth. Take comfort you still have another chance to chase your dream.

    Hugs!

Thanks XX, I feel he is perfect for us already and am so impatient to meet him. I wanted a girl so badly I am actually very surprised at the acceptance I feel - actually its more than acceptance, its delight! Have you decided if you will try again? It's nice to have the door left open, it makes everything a lot easier and it seems less final. Some days I feel very at peace with the idea of not having any more children and just embracing the blue and then there are others where I feel there's a hole in my heart that will never heal. I find myself getting very bitter towards mothers with PPs so obviously the GD is still rampant but I'm hoping that it will lessen over time. I'm hoping the more vocal I am about being happy about this little man the less the "failure" of my sway will sting (I actually don't think my sway failed, I think being on LE for 30 weeks was just way too long so there were many cheats made in the 6-8 weeks prior to conception therefore undoing a lot of my earlier work. Also this little man was just destined for us!!)
