Hey ladies I'm new to this site. My hubby and I already have a beautiful baby girl and he more than anything wants a boy as he has 3 girls from a prior marriage already. We have been swaying through diets the past month while I've been tracking ovulation. Last month I ovulated on the 8th and it was very clearly positive right away. I tested with morning urine. And based on my cycle and ovulation calculators my ovulation was looking to be about the same this month. My negatives are always obviously negative. In my picture if it shows I have last month's positive and my negative from 2 days ago and my negative from yesterday. However, my negative yesterday was fairly darker than any of my negatives in the entire time I've been tracking. I tested with morning urine again. And last night I felt a very sharp twinge in my right side and last month it was in my left and my mucus is certainly lighter and my vagina just feels "wet" but this morning my test was negative! We had it planned to DTD tonight as it is the only night my hubby is back in town from business this month and now I'm not sure if I ovulated! Or if I did I missed it?! Last month I got a positive 2 days in a row. I don't know if we should still try or not cuz if I didn't ovulate yet and I do later this week then we'd risk having a girl and we can't try again until May if we can't try tonight! Any words of wisdom?

I don't know much about opks, sorry. But I do know that many attempts in the fertile window sways blue and one attempt sways pink. So if you can only DTD once, you might be better off waiting. Timing doesn't sway but amount of attempts seems to. All of my boys were conceived with at least 2 attempts and as many as 4. Could you DTD twice today and again tomorrow morning? It sounds like you have EWCM which is definitely the best kind for fertility.
I hope that helps!Mama to four sweet boys

Thank you for replying! We can definitely do it more than once. I just fear we missed our window if I ovulated last night and I am unsure if the LH surge passes after ovulation and I'm still fertile or if it's supposed to be there still. Everything I look up just explains what an LH surge is and when you experience it in your cycle which doesn't help.

It doesn't matter if you are past the LH surge or even beyond O. Timing doesn't sway, it's been totally debunked, and 3 or more attempts in fertile window has been a great blue sway for us regardless of timing. So I would try, try, try. Please don't worry about "O+12" with later attempts, that method doesn't work, and by simply having a good number of attempts when you're fertile you are laready doing the best thing you can for getting a boy.
Good luck and blue dust.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Those OPKs are very unreliable and give a ton of false positives. Can you get some Wondfos from amazon?
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period
