    Could this stop ovulation?

Could this stop ovulation or lead to an anovulatory cycle?

Last Wednesday I came down with the most awful flu/cold -- I didn't actually throw up but I was nauseous, fevered, whole body pains and just general malaise. And the congestion....so stuffy and drippy at the same time which resulted in the worst headaches ever

Yesterday I had a nap as I still was not feeling 100% and when I woke up I had two HUGE blown cold sores and by the time I went to bed in the evening I had a third in my nose AND then another when I woke up this morning!!!! I have never had coldsores this bad -- I seriously am so swollen I look like the elephant woman

Throughout this all dh and I have amazingly managed to stay consistent on e3d; I'm worried that I haven't really felt any ovary sensations since before I got sick and so I am trying to prepare myself.......I don't have a prayer of actually releasing and/or catching an egg this cycle do I?

Being sick can absolutely delay O, but you should still O eventually. I really hope you're better soon, that sounds miserable. Hugs hun!

Yes it can delay O for a few days and then you'll just O when your body is ready. Yes, you absolutely still can catch an egg this cycle!

As always Atomic -- THANK YOU! I am so thankful for this board and all the ladies here I was really beating myself up even though I know I could not have foreseen getting sick and I come on here and you all are so sweet and put my fears at ease! Now I just need to catch that egg!! (FX and knock on wood!!)
