April 25 th we go for our gender ultrasound. I have to go to a diff. Doctor for this and my dr told me just to be sure I make a sound decision on finding out or not because if I don't want to know then they won't mark it on the sheet so she can't accidentally spill the beans.

I feel like the sonogram tech gave me bad picture just so I couldn't speculate so I'm not putting much stock in my early sonograms. I'm thinking we are going to go ahead and find out.

I even sound whiny, lol, sorry about that. After my ultrasound the other day I am really trying to prepare myself to hear boy again. I just don't want to get my hopes up any at all. We close on our new house on Tuesday, I haven't packed a thing and have no motivation to do so. I'm excited about the house, just not the painting and kitchen renovation that we need to do. And I hate moving so I'm procrastinating packing I guess. If I decide to let them tell me the gender I should know by next week too.

Twointow, are you nervous about finding out? I get a sick feeling in my stomach when I think about it. If its a girl I want to know but I'd rather not if its a boy, an impossible thing to ask, ha! Either way I'm totally keeping it from DH and I think I can do it bc this pregnancy has been so rough (I STILL have lots of nausea at night at 13 weeks, ugh) and I'm just emotionally drained right now so I don't think I will have a problem controlling my reaction.

Girliedreamz, I read that this is usually the case. It kind of bums me out because this is my last pregnancy and i LOVE to feel baby kicking. Of course, the delay in locating the heartbeat won't do anything for my stress level either!! I hope you feel her kick soon and that the heartbeats gets easier to find. I also hope she stays head down for you and you don't get all back labor! I read that is also a big downside with anterior placentas. I am trying to stay drug-free this time around ( I made it 32 hours last time) but back labor isn't going to help me out any and neither would a breech baby, ha! Hoping it goes smoothly for both of us! The only tiniest piece of finding out it was anterior is that an OWT (and some statistics) seem to say that it happens more with girls than boys. Now before anyone responds to this, I KNOW I can't put any stock in that and that it is just as likely to be a boy but it's nice to hear those OWT's from time to time.
I've been feeling sick over the gender of the baby. I just can't imagine how my dh will deal with another girl. I think he'll be depressed. He should get the results next week and I'm really hoping I don't notice a change in his personality.

Quinn, I hope you get your boy. My sister had four girls and her hubby was disappointed but in the long run I don't think he was upset. If you don't get your boy, I hope he gets Over the disappointment quickly.

3 more hrs till u/s. I'm not sure how I'm gonna keep that much fluid down tbh. Need to eat something so I can settle my stomach. I'm feeling nervous.

Oh Quinn, I hope everything works out for you. It's such a tough spot to be in. It's so hard because for me I feel like I've failed others if it's not a girl which is silly I know. I think we just have to focus on the fact that we tried and in the end we hopefully get healthy babies. I hope your hubbie can see that too for you.

A part of me doesn't mind hearing boy but I know DH really wants a girl as does the rest of our family and friends. I actually think another boy would be great bc no one would run the risk of being left out, I already have lots of boy clothing and I don't like how some people discount my second son as a failed girl, he certainly wasn't and I wouldn't trade him for any girl! He truly is such a light in our lives, I cannot imagine our family without him. So if I could live in a bubble without anyone else's comments, expectations or opinions I think I'd be doing just fine no matter what we have, ha!! [emoji4]

Not really. TBH I am expecting to hear boy. Whenever I refer to the baby I tend to say he or him. DH one other hand tends to say she and her. I know there might be a bit of disappointment just knowing it will mean we will never have our little girl, but honestly after the hell we have been through the last year the words "boy" & "girl" don't mean a fraction as much as "healthy" does. I think DH will be far more disappointed than I will if we are having a boy... though he'd never admit it.

All of my kids have had posterior placentas. Two girls and a boy all posterior. They also all were in posterior position too, so didn't "hug" the placenta.
