    Doubting my sway

I am 8 weeks pregnant and will be doing the NIPS bloodtest at 10weeks to find out the sex. I have been thinking a lot about my sway and am really starting to get some anxiety. I know that I did perfect attempts. Every 2nd day from AF and then 3 attempts at +OPK. What I am worried about is my diet. I gained weight and tried to eat every few hours and always ate breakfast and a snack before bed BUT I cannot remember if had a carb and a protein together at every snack and meal.

How crucial is this to a boy sway? Do you think frequency and attempts is more important than diet?

Is there anyone who successfully swayed boy without a perfect boy diet?

    Needing some reassurance.

    Doubting my sway

I'm 11 weeks and waiting on my results so I'm having that same anxiety. I try to think about the fact that while I lived an LE lifestyle when I conceived both my girls, I was definitely not perfect. I'm sure all the boy moms weren't either. I think we have to have some luck on our side. I swayed for my dh so I've been a ball of stress hoping he gets his much desired boy. Good luck!!

I didn't purposely sway with any of my boys but just to give you some reassurance, I certainly didn't have a carb and protein with every single meal when I conceived them. But I definitely ate breakfast every day and snacked all day (always a snack on my way to bed too!). Sounds like you had a great boy frequency going.
Try not to stress! Most of us boy moms got boys without thinking one iota about how many grams of protein we were eating or what types of carbs we had.

While I haven't had a boy yet, I can relate to your anxiety and stress AND I've maybe read almost every post on this forum... ha.

From what I've gathered, it's much easier to be "not perfect" with an HE lifestyle and still get a boy, and I think the "eating breakfast" tends to trump the "carb and protein" at every snack in terms of importance (which I say ONLY because there have been actual studies linking breakfast to gender frequency). That all being said, even if THOSE aren't perfect, I know it's an overall lifestyle.

Plus, the rates for getting blue are slightly higher (implying more margin of error in HE diet) here than girls. Additionally, it generally only needs 6 weeks of an HE diet for the effects of it to start influencing gender -- versus the LE diet, which tends to be needed longer. It needing to be longer would, logically, infer that short slip ups of even a few weeks wouldn't necessarily negate the HE diet.

And thirdly: I have seen SO many moms get boys with erratic exercise and eating habits, junk food, etc. All sorts of things that still ended up with boys.

Don't compare boy moms who conceive them without effort, to us who conceive girls. I don't know what it is that determines the gender of the baby, but I also had, without knowing at that time, perfect girl lifestyle with both my girls and this time I was confident with all the changes I made, I would have my boy this time... I guess someone had other plans.....

I conceived a girl and two boys, and the critical differences for me was that the girl was unplanned (so wasn't stressing over conceiving), she was a one hit wonder, and I was dieting so I felt hungry (low blood sugar) a lot. With my boys my diet was largely protein based, I grazed a lot, and we DTD a lot. I know that a lot of my meals were protein only, so not a carb on my plate. So try not to stress, it sounds like you've done a pretty good sway!

I'm in the same boat as you, I swayed girl and I'm only 4 weeks pregnant but I'm starting to stress that I wasn't as strict as I should have been etc. What can we do?! It's out of our hands now. Xx

When I made the diets I was only trying to OPTIMIZE chances. Trust me, both I and virtually ALL other boy moms did not have protein and carbs at every meal and snack. We had days when we missed meals or snacks. The diet is just supposed to be the best of the best chance in a short time.

I do think diet is most important but you did fine on diet!!!

    Doubting my sway

Thanks Everyone! It feels like such a long wait to find out what we are having. I feel it's another girl, something makes me feel that I cannot conceive a boy. We will see. 1 more week till the blood test and then 3-5 day wait for the results. Of course the most important thing that I am hoping for is good results for the genetic diseases.

Aus (I'm assuming you're from Australia) which blood test are you getting? I'm in Melbourne and I've done a bit of research and the Percept NIPT looks like the best one with the quickest results.
