Last night DH and I went out to celebrate our anniversary.
It didn't take long before the conversation turned to babies it was more of a general chat about me saying I feel that one last person is missing from or family etc. He said he had the conversation with his barber last week who told him there is a way to get a girl!!!......
DH: Yeah so the barber said there's away to do it by counting the days from your period and DTD 4 days before......
Me: PURLEASE! *clears throat, pulls out overhead projector and brings up GD website*!
ok not quite like that but i very quickly stopped him in his tracks and told him exactly why that is wrong and how much I have learnt form this website. He was so interested and said he knew to mention to me as he knew if he's been told wrong I'd set him straight with all the invaluable info I have learnt here!
So we had a heart to heart, he REALLY wants a daughter, maybe even more than me!?!? However he has a typical bloke head on him, the money the space and freedom all come into it. It was so lovely to just chat as I worry about those things too of course but i would never look back on my life as an old woman and regret the kids I had but would always regret having that what if feeling......
My argument to him about money etc is that right now I am studying to become an accountant so will give us a better life and I hope to eventually work from home. I don't want to TTC yet as feel the stress of my course at the moment and would rather have that finished so it is a weight off my mind.
He has admitted he would be so gutted if we had another boy but he would love him all the same. I think this is the main thing that puts him off having a nothing as it's isn't guaranteed.
We can't afford to do PGD so that's not an option unfortunately.
However he was so excited by what I was telling him from here and when i was saying the statistics he was happy, (he was hoping i was going to say 100% success rate but then realised that's impossible if we still want the human race to exist!!)
So that is where we are at! No definite plans as of yet but nice to know he does have these thoughts and there may be an addition to our family in the next year or so!who knows!!

What a fantastic man! Thrilled for you hun. I think waiting until you're done with your course will be better for your sway , too.
If he's on board maybe you can diet and run/cycle together, keep each other on track and motivated. Swaying with a partner would be so much more pleasant.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

Thanks Hun. Yes defo want to keep my stress levels down!! We had discussed before and the thought was there to try last year but then we had the stress of moving house so I decided to not pursue it for awhile and I think dh thought I'd let it go! Lol! No chance!
Yes I'm hoping we can exercise together he runs quite a lot too and it'll be difficult to get out together but I do have some aerobics DVDs we could do together. He does do weights as well which isn't ideal but I'm going to concentrate on what I can do to sway and not push him too much incase he changes his mind!! Eek! lol
