Exclamation HELP! Honesty and opinions needed!

    Warning! May be long:

So SO and I decided to ttc a boy in March. We both altered our diets, took supplements and I was testing pH a f ovulation. The first day of my last period was Feb 22nd. I ovulated on Feb 7th that month and was expected to O on March 7th as well. In Feb I had undeniable positive OPKS 2 days in a row. SO was gone on business at the time and he was able to come home for a night that week and we wanted it to be the day I O'd. Well here comes March 7th and the line was so much darker than my normal negatives, like it was less than a shade sway from being a + but still wouldn't have been one, however I did have increased mucus that day and a lot of pain in my right ovary that evening. I even felt a "pop" sensation. I was so confused because in Feb my line never got darker the closer I got to O, it was just + one day. So assuming I missed the surge SO came home on the 8th (my test that morning was almost stark white -, all my negatives have always looked the same so I thought we had just missed it)(it was also my last test in the kit and I couldn't get more till the following month) so we DTD twice that night using preseed both times, I orgasmed. both times. WELL I'M 7 WEEKS PREGNANT TODAY! However, upon reading more about it I learned that sometimes the tests DO get darker and then faint a couple days before real ovulation! This didn't happen in my previous cycle so I didn't know! I had until the 11th to O and assuming I didn't on the 7th I am now concerned that DTD twice on the 8th is now out of reach for us TTC a boy if I ovulated a 2-3 days later! Of course I will love another girl but SO and I have a girl and he has 3 from a prior marriage so we were really trying to sway and now I feel I screwed it up by jumping the gun! What are my odds of still conceiving a boy this way?! I am not sure if I O'd throughout the week as from the 9th-12th I had severe lower back pain that radiated to my butt and thighs, but it was fortunately gone the morning of the 12th. I didn't have pain like that with O or during my first pregnancy (could be unrelated ) but now I don't know if I felt the pain in my right ovary to predict O. I need some honest opinions, wisdom and experiences! TIA and thank you for reading ♡♡

Well we know that timing doesn't sway so the important thing is that you got 2 attempts in which isn't exactly all blue but not all pink either (1 attempt). I firmly believe that diet is most important. My DS4 was one attempt 3 (maybe even 4) days before ovulation but I had a very blue diet at the time. He was an oops baby but after reading about Shettles shortly after I got my BFP, I was completely convinced I had a girl baking.

Were you following the HE diet? I think you are more likely to have a boy after 1 girl anyway just as odds go but I could be wrong there.

I was consuming as much alkaline as possible and taking prenatals and potassium and other supplements. My daughter was a surprise and I was so irregular then I can't even guess how that pregnancy came about, but it was a one and done with her. I tried to keep my pH consistently at a 7 which is super alk for me. This case we only had one night and we were going to in the morning too but no one slept well so it didn't happen. I just thought the y sperm may not have made it to O

Diet is what matters most, not pH or even BDing though 2 attempts for blue is not bad.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

There is no evidence to show that y sperm die off faster than x so don't worry about that. If it makes you feel better, I purposely ate a very alkaline diet when I conceived my boys. Not to sway, I just believe it's healthy to eat that way in general. I think you have a good shot at a boy! Prenatals sway blue and two attempts would help as well. Were you snacking often between meals and having breakfast every morning?

I was living off bananas but I probably didn't do breakfast like I should. I was doing cereal but I read milk sways pink so I switched to cereal bars. I generally don't eat too much during the day so a lot of it was a conscious effort I hope was enough. My prenatal are full of 3 cups of spinach per 2 gummies. I was also taking fish oil, potassium and evening prim rose oil based off another gender sway forum

Milk does not sway pink if it's full fat; that's a big one atomic talks about on here. Eating breakfast at all is a good thing, though -- there are actual studies that have found more breakfast = more boys, and I know I conceived my daughter nevvver having breakfast.

Yeah I know I wasn't eating much when I conceived my daughter. I worked 10 hour night shifts at Amazon. I knew about the breakfast and I did cereal for a bit but switched to cereal bars and bananas when I thought milk was bad. Hopefully I ate enough..
