^^^and this is why I feel that if I do get pregnant while nursing a little one, it will probably be another boy. I know I'm doing the LE diet, exercise, and one attempt, but I feel that being able to even get pregnant under these circumstances will still give me another sweet DS [emoji20][emoji4]

I conceived my ds2 while breastfeeding my first (he was only 6 months and feeding a lot!) I was sure I would have a girl as id lost loads of weight breastfeeding and was anemic! But no! I was snacking a lot I think, and eating plenty of good food as I was hungry all the time.

please understand I make those numbers UP to illustrate a point.

I got 3 boys without breastfeeding, and a boy and a girl with breastfeeding. Virtually everyone can conceive when breastfeeding, it just may take a little longer for your cycle to come back. No matter what you're eating! So I think there is an underlying question here which I will answer - which is that I do believe it is very possibly better to eat more and breastfeed than to wean and get really strict on diet. I do not think any facts suggest that we should all wean and then get super strict on diet, and in fact things point to me, in the other direction (since we know a lot of people who were scarily strict on diet and still got boys anyway) breastfeeding 100% proven, does gently suppress fertility. is it a guarantee or magic bullet, no, but it IS doing something real, hormonal/chemical in the body that affects fertility!

Just to get your cycle back and conceive that soon indicates you are in better condition and more fertile than someone who does not get their cycle back until 18 months.

What you guys have to remeber is this is like an iceberg. A LOT is going on under the surface. Your overall fertility and condition are not ONLY about what you are eating that month you conceive or even a few months before that - it has to do with a lifetime of diet and lifestyle and exercise and your body type and all sorts of things. We get so focused on the stuff we see/remember we forget how our moms always made us eat breakfast before going to school when we were 10, yk???

I conceived my ds3 while breastfeeding my ds2. Now I'm breastfeeding both of them. I feel like I'm going to have to wait a long time to TTC because of this. I feel like it helps sway boys.

Ack, this really makes me feel I'm doomed to only girls based on my lifestyle my whole life. Will keep clinging to the "women recovered from EDs have more boys" thing [emoji27]

Please try to also keep in mind that you don't even know that you're "set" for girls. You have conceived only one. We have people on here (or who have been in the past) with 4-5-6-7-8 girls!! The majority of people have BG or GB boom-boom just like that without even thinking of any of this stuff. We know of many people both on this site and IRL (like Mel Gibson and his ex and Eleanor Roosevelt and FDR) who had a girl and then 5-6-7 boys in a row!!

I just really think you're drawing conclusions that those of us with 3-4 or more in a row may have to consider that you don't even know you have to!!!

You're probably right I think my mom's own GGG (and how she treated us as a result) constantly just haunts me... she even held my niece this weekend (from my husband's side) and said, "With our luck we'll just have another girl" [emoji20]

We have tons of ladies on here who are from 3 girl families with lots of boys. It actually is a compounding factor for their GD because they just expected to have girls and girls are all they know.
