What is more important ???

Most important things are diet, exercise and one attempt in the fertile window. I know how you feel with the diet. I eased into it myself. I started off with no snacking as that was a big problem for me. Smaller portions is a good start too.
There are a few good food tracking apps you can download to your phone that help you see how much protein/fat/calories you're eating. My Fitness Pal is one that a lot of people use. You can really eat anything on the diet. Some people like to avoid certain things like avocados (high in fat and nutrients) and chicken (high in protein) but there is a broad range of what you can eat. White carbs are best unless you are PCOS and low carb veggies (mushrooms, cucumber, iceberg lettuce, celery etc) are totally free and don't even need to be counted in your daily limits. There are a couple of diet threads you can check out to see what most of us girl swayers are eating everyday so you can have an idea.Mama to four sweet boys

LE Diet longer than 12 weeks plus fiber, coffee and alcohol if you can (and I just mean sticking in limits)
60 min. cardio exercise 6-7 days a week if you can or at least 4-5
one attempt or every 4 days
Husband smoking and/or jogging/biking and also Clomid or Femara if you can get it.
Neither weight loss nor skipping breakfast has been as effective as those things. I actually think not snacking may be better than skipping breakfast but unfortunately we weren't tracking that and it's late in the game to start now (would not yield good comparison between the two) You don't need to go fully vegetarian BUT it can make it easier to stick to the diet, reason being meat has high protein for low calories so you eat a pretty tiny piece of chicken you immediately fulfill your protein requirement and then what do you eat the rest of the day?? Gummy worms and cucumbers and a tiny piece of chicken is a starvation diet and so I prefer you guys to use things that are higher cal, lower protein like eggs, dairy, beans, grain foods to get that protein PLUS a fair amount of cals at the same time.
Just going straight vegetarian has also gotten good results but I am not quite ready to sign off on that totally because some vegetarians eat a lot very healthfully whereas otehrs are like "teenage girl vegetarians" eating Cheetos and carrot sticks and calling that vegetarian. It's harder for me to pin down what people are eating as vegetarians if that makes sense.
Can you please let me know what you're getting hung up on specifically with the diet?? You can eat ALL foods, it's just sticking in the limits that matters.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

what you guys need to keep in mind is that there are no forbidden foods and even "naughty" foods like avocados CAN be eaten (in fact an avocado can be a great rescue food on a day you've had a lot of protein and barely any cals/fat because it has both of them, but no protein). The confusion comes in because a lot of people WANT to limit more strictly and thus I have to mention things that may be better/worse on LE Diet, but those are not set in stone. The only thing that really matters is the limits:
!500-1800 cals (a VERY few people have to go lower to 1200-1500 (very very very few!!!), a few more have to go higher to 1800-2000 (breastfeeding, exercising a lot, very tall, if the weight is flying off)
40-50 g protein (PCOS, IR, and thoe with more than 30-50 lbs to lose go up to 50-60 g)
30-60 g fat
Low carb veg are free - you do not count them and they are unlimited. Higher carb veg and fruit you count cals but not protein or fat.

Re the kcal limit, I regularly go over 2000 a day. When I tried not to, the weight was flying off me. The past few days I have had 2,200 (also exercising), which allows me to just about maintain weight (can't lose anymore). When some people post what they're eating in a day it panics me as I eat LOADS more! But mostly veggies, white carbs plus some dairy and small amounts of quorn. Also sweets and small amount of chocolate everyday!

I would say diet overall, which includes no snacking, 2-3 meals a day, ideally vegetarian or even better vegan, low protein and, above all, low fat. Fibre, coffee and alcohol are bonuses.
Exercise next.
Then Clomid/Femara.
Then 1 attempt/E4D.
My Ovulation Chart currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP
TTC #1- swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!
Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic
Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

IT DOESN'T MATTER what anyone else is doing. If weight is flying off, you need to eat more.
