I luckily just happened to catch this.
YOu would have to eat a LOT of broccoli (like a literal mountain of it) to get the amount of nutrients in a Big Mac, Fries, Choc. shake. Protein, fat, calories, and lots and lots of other nutrients would be present in a vastly different quantity in "junk" food than in broccoli. The idea that a burger is very low nutrient is simply a misconception.
We are so used to hearing "veggies healthy" that we sometimes forget that things like bread, meat, dairy all are CHOCK full of nutrients. Just because they may not be great for heart health or cancer prevention, if you were a starving person, what would you rather have - hamburgers breakfast lunch and dinner or a plate of steamed broccoli??
You guys can't read too much into things like "bad maternal condition". That may sway pink, but we don't WANT to be run down, sick, and miserable (and if you had to be, there would not be bilions of women walking around on Earth). We are trying to decline our condition just a little bit while still eating a diet designed to be a healthy prepregnncy diet.
Increasing carbs vs. protein and fats has been shown in animal studies to sway pink.

Hamburgers for 3 meals a day, I think I would die of the guilt lol! But I'd enjoy them first! I see what you're saying, I just find it difficult to get my head around as I would have thought that veg was far more nutritious than carbs etc. and therefore better for us swayers to eat on LE.

But the whole human race for most of our existence, lived in the wilds and ate what we could find. Leaves, berries, broccoli etc. Carbs aren't inherently unhealthy (and many vegetables and all fruits, ARE carbs, of course) and if we couldn't get a girl while eating plant foods, the entire human race would have died out a long time ago.

I have just had a small amount if tuna mayo in a roll, a bag of quavers and a penguin chocolate, not what I planned but was really hungry and couldn't stop myself. Will have couscous and salad for tea to try and make up for it
