Hair- If your hair becomes thick and glossy, and you can’t make it down the street without being stopped by a modelling scout, you’re carrying a boy. If your hair is so dull and limp that you look like you’ve been without running water for quite some time, it’s a girl.
So funny, but I was just noting the other day how limp and horrible my hair is! it's usually at its best when I'm pregnant (all boys in the past), and this time around I can't get any volume out of it for the life of me. it's just been in the last couple of weeks, though, that I've seen any difference. Wonder if it has anything to do with different boy/girl hormone? Or it could be I'm just older... :P

On a totally different note... does anyone have opinions on whether olive leaf is safe to take while pregnant? I've been googling and find about half the "expert" sites so no and half say yes. I don't think my midwife knows much about herbs in general, so I'm not sure she'd be the best authority. Thoughts?

To combat candida? I've used it in the past but not during pregnancy..don't think that's helpful. Unless something is absolutely necessary during pregnancy though I usually steer clear..no sense in risking it.

I've gained 7 lbs! I'm a little worried because that's more than where I was at this time around last pregnancy and I was carrying a huge baby..I know it's not baby at this point. I've definitely been careless about my food choices and am eating tons of dairy which I don't usually eat...ever. lol. Ugh. I guess it's time to buckle down.

Oh no! That sucks. Dairy is typically high in calories. If it's a craving thing u might consider taking a calcium supplement as u may be craving it because you need the calcium.

Totally a craving thing but I would think I'm getting plenty of calcium in my prenatal vitamins? And cheese I'd seriously all throughout this gestational diabetes diet. Lol. I think if I can stop with all of the sugary treats I've been allowing myself I'll be ok. I'm actually not consuming very many calories...I just think my food choices are what's doing it. Now that I've said it out loud it will be easier to implement some changes!

Well, my pants are officially becoming snug :/ They are ok as long as I am standing but I feel like I am being pinched in half if I try to sit down. Trying to avoid maternity pants as long as possible. With my boys I was stuck in them pretty early on and I kinda hate them lol. I can't stand the stretchy part to goes all the way to my breast line, or the squeezing sensation. I've tried the band varieties but the stretchy part inside ends up rolling on me and it's just something else to deal with. Really wish there were more options :/ For now I have my little extenders that will give me a little more time at least.

On a related note, DH says I've "officially popped" lol. He says you can definitely tell I'm preg now (I'll try to do a pic either tonight or tomorrow as I am over due for my weekly pics) until then (i.e. until I see for myself) I just think I still look extra fat lol. My lower abdomen is showing some obvious (to me) changes. It's much firmer to the touch, esp when I am laying down.

Too soon to be sure but I think I may have finally stopped losing weight too. I've held steady w/in a couple ounces for the last few days. Only time will tell though.

How about you ladies? What's new with the belly crew

Have you tried a BellaBand? You can continue to wear your own pants and shorts and it doesn't go up quite as high as maternity pants.
