It's the planning and scheduling and turning your life upside down and inside out to accomplish a goal that sways. Not the stuff you do all day. Please just try to make swaying a very unobtrusive part of your life and not something that is in the forefront of your mind all day. For example:

10-10:15 - focus on thinking positively and asking the universe to bring me my daughter
10:15 to 10:30 - listen to soothing music while I slather myself with lavender lotion
    10:30 to 10:45 - meditation
10:45 to 11 -birdwatching for pink birds only

most of us, pink moms and blue moms alike, are barely hanging on by a thread running here and there doing carpools and changing diapers and putting meals on the table. Moms of girls are not getting girls because they have a lifestyle that is drastically different from boy moms. They're getting girls because their approach to their life is diffferent in that they aren't trying to control every single element of everything in their universes with an iron grip. So I just don't want you guys keeping the "iron grip" and then applying that to "relaxation" because you'll miss the forest for the trees if you do that. The controlfreakishness is the problem, and it's NOT a solution to then apply controlfreakishness to altering your lifestyle (because the song is still the same!)
You mean wearing nothing but pink panties, eating pink pop tarts, putting pink streaks of color in my hair, and saying "pink" 100 times before I go to bed each night, won't guarantee that I'll have a girl?!?!? [emoji12]

After looking into the research on this site I don't feel I am either extreme... a boy mom OR a girl mom. I can see that certain points in my life were more ideal for certain genders based on my diet at the time or personal situations. For example, once DS was born I decided to go vegan for 5 months .... Lost 70 pounds. For my wedding I went on a high protein diet to fit into my dress and lost 25 pounds. Anyways... I am asking about lifestyle because that is where I am a little unclear. To be more specific... I was hoping to have my first attempt in June or July. However.... I likely will have interviews to a really important position at my work end of June early July. Part of me is thinking.... maybe I should do the attempt mid June before the interviews take place even though I will only be on the diet for 7 weeks. I am not sure if that is better than staying on the diet for 11 weeks which will take me to my July attempt but I will have interviews and will likely be stressful. Im not sure which is the better option personally. Oh and DH wants to buy a house too now haha so I am trying to decide if some of these major things in my life should be put on hold so I can enjoy the summer and last few months of my maternity leave or .... Im not sure. This is why I want to understand the girl friendly lifestyle. Is it a control thing or a stress thing or a belief thing, etc? I am sure girl moms deal with these situations I am just trying to decide if I should put these things on hold or postpone them or if I should cater my sway around them.
    Thanks!!
and sorry I was so vague before, I guess I should have posted more detail

We have NO data that proves that things like job interviews, etc will undermine your sway. In fact some studies have shown that stress that feels out of your control (so NOT things that are easily accomplished like pink streaks in hair and pink pop tarts LOL) but things that you cannot control actually may sway pink anyway. It's the controlfreakishness not the stress. Does that make sense??

We do on the other hand have data that clearly shows longer on diet is better results. So to me, it's a mistake to rush a sway in terms of diet to avoid "stress".

I actually did understand what you were getting at and I'm sorry if I didn't go into enough detail in my reply.

I'm trying to express to you that there IS no pink lifestyle. I don't think anyone should avoid ANY life situations for swaying. Please understand, you are STILL BEING A CONTROL FREAK if you do that, and being a control freak is really what is swaying - not the life situations, the drive to control, so avoiding/postponing stuff is still that drive to control, even if you don't do the things you were worried about if that makes sense. If you cancel everything going on in your life to huddle in your closet worried that every action you might take is going to "wreck your sway" then that is a heck of a lot worse than keeping busy with stuff in your normal life and not making swaying the focus of your every waking moment. The only reason I ever bring it up is to prevent you guys from the "Swaylapalooza" approach with these big complex plans and schemes that take up this massive amount of effort and control freakishness to pull off. People charting their cycles for months in advance, making colorcoded pH charts, "talking points" for pink personality changes, minute by minute schedules printed 6 months in advance, and canceling every event in your life out of fear that it may mess up your sway. Just live your live and accept what comes without trying to spin each situation as it arises into some "pink" event somehow.

Am I right in thinking you only have one child nessa, a boy? If so, that doesn't necessarily make you a "boy mum", even without swaying, you may go on to have a girl anyway, you may be one of those true 50/50 people who are neither more like to have a boy or a girl.

Yes that is true I only have the one child. I don't think I am either boy mom or girl mom to be honest. But I am absolutely fascinated with all the gender research!!
