I think you should also be on 100mg, Purple, given you O late on 50mg. And I would have recommended you start at 100mg with that history, too.

I think Claire would probably O on 50mg but likely not as early as she should.

    My Ovulation Chart
currently TTC, Cycle #16 since last BFP

TTC #1 - swaying pink on & off since Nov 2013 - hoping for a girl first but excited for either!

Dec 2001 - May 2006 : 5 early abortions of healthy singletons (3 medical @5w, 2 surgical @8w, last 4 pregnancies conceived with late DH, all conceived while TTA/on birth control)
Mar 2012: miscarried B/G twins @5w (conceived 2 cycles after remověng Paraguard copper IUD while NTNP), one twin was ovarian ectopic

Me: 34, widowed, late O + short LP, normal-good hormone levels excepting undetectable testosterone, seeking a known sperm donor/life partner
My sway: vegetarian LE for over 28w, skipping breakfast, fibre (ground psyllium husks) with/before/between meals, physically inactive, drama avoidance, ocassional minimal YesBaby lube as needed, alternate cycles on low dose Clomid, double shot lattes (with meals)
Past sway tactics I've dropped (in order): Vitex, Sudafed, antihistamines, intermittent fasting, one attempt per cycle at positive OPK, one attempt in fertile period

I feel like I"m out of my pay grade here and I hate telling anyone to go against their doc's advice really because at the end of it, they're the experts (ostensibly LOL)

If you have a spare moment I would love you to update us on how it worked for you.

Thank you for all your advice. I actually started my period on Sunday so today is cycle day 3 and I'm going to take my first tablet of clomid tonight (I heard taking it at night helps with symptoms) going to start with the 50mg and see how I get on and if I have no results then use 100mg next month. Only going to take it for 5 days. Again thank you all I really appreciate it and I will keep you posted with how I get on x

Good luck Claire! We can be clomid buddies this cycle, I take my 4th dose tonight.

Personally I haven't noticed symptoms taking it day or night but night seems to be the suggested time now.

My symptoms start as I gear up to O as I get really tender in my uterus area. I'm not really looking forward to that part as BDing gets uncomfortable right close to ovulation.

How is your cycle going Claire?

I took 50mg cd4-8 and still only ovulated around cd19 (yesterday) so no earlier than taking it cd5-9 for me.

    Hi Purple

My doctor phoned me hours before I was going to start my clomid and said to hold off this month as I'm booked in to get scans along with taking it next month. So I decided to go back onto vitex and pregnitude this month and begin the clomid next month. However I just got a BFP. I guess I didn't need the Clomid after all. I'm so excited. I just hope this baby sticks. How are you getting on with this cycle? Xx

You can post your sway now. It is easier to remember when done early although it was sad updating mine each time because I misscarried but I think I would have forgotten everything by 12 wks.
