Help, I am planning my first attempt in the next few days, I have been exercising 6 days per week. I do a cardio dvd three times per week. In advance of my sway I have been reading up on stuff to see if I could tighten my sway and I re- read the stuff on cardio and am now nervous, the dvd involves using some weights during part of the reps to add weight to increase the calorie burn but now am worried that is building muscle? Given how little I eat some days I cannot see how it could but interested in thoughts? Some days am over my levels and I still exercise. Should I push my sway back? Many thanks

You can't actually gain much if any muscle while in a calorie deficit -- it takes a LOT to gain muscle, especially for women. What most women think is "gaining muscle" is often just revealing muscle from reducing body fat. And if your scale weight is actively going down, this is more likely to be what's happening.
So, I think you're right in your thoughts -- if you're eating low, you're likely not gaining muscle and are probably good in your sway. Anecdotally, I conceived a girl while lifting heavy weights 3-4x a week for years -- I just happened to be eating waaay too low to be benefitting from muscle gain, and also did cardio on top of that.

^^Completely agree with Throwaway! Muscle weighs more than fat so if you were really gaining that much muscle, you wouldn't see your weight continually drop. Keep up the awesome work!
If it makes you feel better. I know a girl who is a personal trainer who focuses heavily on weights, little to no cardio and she has 2 daughters. Funnily enough, her husband is also a weightlifter and at first glance would seem to be loaded with testosterone.Mama to four sweet boys

As long as you're losign weight on a lower protein diet it's not likely you'll have built any muscle. It's very tough for women to build muscle without a lot of calories and I htink you're fine. I'd prob. try to find something different and/or use very light weights.

Thanks everyone, I have lost six stone, since last year, not on the le diet I only started that in Jan, Feb time and only strictly since end of March!/ April. I am going to go for it, as I had a positive OPK today. I think there is just some much chance with it anyway, that I could do the most perfect sway ever and still get a boy or a bare bones sway and get a girl. Doing one attempt in fertile window so reducing my odds anyway so plenty of time to tighten up sway for next months. Thanks for taking the time to post, fingers crossed and gl to all who are attempting!
