Thank you atomic. I have looked at the pcos diet thread and I was wondering if I should just follow what I have been doing but substitute the white carbs for wholegrain instead, eat less bread and focus more on the veg instead? Is that right? What are good foods for increasing protein? I know you have listed a few things but those foods were the kind of things I was eating with my boys. I worry about getting too bogged down with things so want something as simple as possible. I would be sticking to the 2 meals as I am not BF, was thinking along the lines of brown rice and veg/baked potato for one meal and for the other 2 slices of wholegrain bread with a banana and some salad. I'm thinking that would not be in the principles of the pcos diet? Sorry for all the questions :-) I am on birth control so I'm hoping that will help my sway when the time comes :-)

I wasn't sure how to tell if they are too sugary so thought I would put it here, the snapea crackers have 12.2g carbs of which 0.4g are sugars, that is per packet. And the biscuits are 5.4g carbs of which 1.5g are sugars, per biscuit, I feel thats probably in the range of too high? What sort of numbers should I be looking for when deciding if something is too high in carbs? Sorry if I'm trying to be too specific, it may just be easier for me to stick with what I know is OK and just leave it at that lol.

I got a boy on standard LE diet but a girl with the PCOS diet+daily exercise. I bought a treadmill off craigslist and put it in my garage, then I could work out early in the morning or late at night when all the kids were asleep. I think daily cardio was key to my little girl.

Thank you. What foods were you eating? As I have read the pcos diet thread but I'm feeling a little overwhelmed by it, it kind of scares me to eat things that I didn't eat last time on LE diet, even though I ended up with a boy anyway. I am definitely going to commit to exercise this time :-)

Sorry to ask another question but would this bread be OK for girl sway? I know there are no forbidden foods but I eat bread every day and thats how I get through the day so don't want to stop having it but does this bread fit in boy territory?2005

I have reason to suspect that autoimmune disorders flaring up may sway blue. Thus someone gluten sensitive who finds this out between, for example, DS 2 and their planned DC 3 and goes onto a gluten free diet, may end up quieting down this autoimmune response triggered by gluten and since it's also often a more restrictive diet, end up being more likely to conceive a girl.

I also want you to up protein and fat intake though. Even whole grains may be too carby if you're eating too many of them and by upping pro and fat intake that's a way to ensure you're getting the cals to get and stay pregnant while not aggravating any PCOtendencies.
But yes overall that is a good start, just going to wholegrains and eating less sugar and bread, more fruit and veg.
You are going to eat some of the same foods you ate with your boys. That is fine. All the people out there in the world walking around who have had both boys and girls effortlessly without even thinking about it, did not ever have two totally separate diets that they followed when they ahd a boy or a girl.
Even if not BF you can still have 3 meals. Do what works better for you.
Without seeing cals, protein, and fat added up I can't sign off on that type of diet. I need to be sure you're getting enough. it would be a PCO-type diet, for sure, but we need to be sure you're eating enough.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

You have to look at it in the context of what else you are eating. In isolation those things actually could be a part of a PCO-type diet, but if you were eating ONLY those things you'd end up with a lot of carbs pretty quick. Does that make sense?? If you were eating like, an egg and some full fat dairy and a couple prawns and then having those to help increase calories, then that would be ok. But if you were eating pop tarts, white bread sandwiches, and then adding those onto that, it would be too carby. I know it's a bit hard to envision but you're just trying to be sure you are getting enough pro and fat and then keeping the carbs as a duller roar than on the standard LE.
