So sorry! {{{Hugs}}} How frustrating that dh isn't lending a hand!
I'm taking the Nancy Reagan approach to anything someone asks me for—just say NO. lol! Fast food for the kids, the house is a wreck, sink full of dishes, my laundry room is full of clothes that no one else seems to know how to put away. But Mommy's on strike! I'm ignoring it all and eating ice cream on the couch. They'll figure out how to function on their own eventually. Probably. And, man, are they gonna start appreciating all I usually do when they have to do it themselves. bwahahaha!
The only thing I'm not able to say no to is work, unfortunately. Someone's gotta pay the bills. And buy all that ice cream.

Well, my 2nd was the hardest labor. 3rd was probably close though. 2nd lasted for freakin ever--over 24 hours--and was intense the whole time. 3rd was maybe more intense but a bit shorter--like 7 hours. Ironically, my 1st was easy peasy--3 hrs, super mellow. I'd kill for another labor like that one! All three were at home, so this time I'm going to the hospital for the epidural. Not willing to roll the dice on another tough one. I'm just too old.

At least DH brought me home a cotton candy Blizzard tonight. I'll be buying another on the way out to my mom's. It's my favorite flavor and is fortunately their flavor of the month right now.

My first was long but easy. My second was long and horrible. My third was okay until my water broke and necessitated an emergency c-section. My fourth was super short but horribly painful. It was a VBAC and my scar hurt so bad, feeling like I was going to split open. I wanted an epidural, but they had to run lab work first to check my clotting factors first. Labor went so fast I was ready to push by the time they came back and it was pointless to get. They gave me one shot of fentanyl to help with pain, but it didn't even last a minute.

Hmm looks like your an outlier as far as birth statistics go. Lol. I can't believe you're going the hospital route after staying home- that's probably also unusual. Though I have to say, I've given birth both times at a birth center attached to a hospital and it was great in that they support all natural births BUT I get help for 48 hours after wards and if I was home it would be very hard to rest. For that reason alone, I'll go to the birth center. LOL

So my daughter had some tummy issues for two days then was completely normal for two days and now she's having some diarrhea again. What gives? Anyone experience such a long gap in sickness only to have it come back? My husband and I were going to leave tomorrow for the weekend for my birthday so that's been postponed- damn kids...lol. They have impeccable timing.

Are you sure it's a bug and not a reaction to something she is eating or drinking? My youngest developed some mild food sensitivities and that's how it presents with him- nausea and the runs :/

Yeah, that made it really difficult for us too. We finally had him tested and knew what was causing issues. Once we took them out of his regular diet occasional exposure doesn't reak havoc but before testing him there were no patterns to be seen. He was reacting to some really unexpected things too. Beef, chocolate, certain nuts but not all, certain fish but not all, etc. Had the hardest time trying to PT him. He could pee in the toilet but had no control over his bowels. He was PT'd within a couple months of making ajustments to his diet.
It's just a possibility but the fact she was sick for 2 days, then fine, then sick again makes me wonder because it sounds a lot like what we dealt with.
🙏 for a healthy 🌈 🚼 We're having a girl! 🎀👗

Well it is interesting you mention this because I've dealt with a lot of mild food allergies and I was sure she was having some reactions but could not for the life of me pinpoint them. Her doctor whom I adore was adamant we do a food exclusion test rather than test which is just such a royal pain that we never did it. But for a long time, her poop was very soft so regularly, I was sure she had some food allergies going on. Maybe it's something I should look back into.
