I'm about to turn 29. Been pregnant five times, with one loss. Only tried for one pregnancy which took two cycles. We have four sons. Youngest was two this past January. We're hoping and praying to be blessed with one more child, especially a daughter.
I was really set to get this swaying done right, but over time let things slide. I've done okay as far as diet and exercise go, not great but okay. I am taking folate, fiber (when I remember) and baby aspirin (when I remember).
The past two cycles we BD'd whenever we wanted to during my fertile time instead of having one attempt like I've read we should. Not sure when I ovulated exactly as my clear blue monitor never gave me a peak reading, but my temps showed a clear rise. I was certain that I would conceive since I have before so quickly, but now am back to CD 1.
So now I'm worried that I'm not as fertile as i once was, which is probably silly.
I don't think I have as much EWCM as I used to. I now take Flonase and an inhaled steroid (for asthma) every day. Could that have any effect? If so should I take something to increase CM?
Should we still just do one attempt this cycle? Should I start using those cheap lh test sticks in conjunction with the clear blue monitor in case I don't get a peak reading again?
Thanks to whomever got through this rambling post!!

So first off, 29 is still super young and it sounds like you are very fertile! I really wouldn't worry about not getting a BFP yet after only two cycles. It is very, very normal to take several months to conceive and in a way you kind of WANT to see that you're less fertile than you were before, since that could mean the diet is working. In your shoes I would definitely stick with the one attempt (or every 4 days if you are really stressed with only one), for a few more months. But it's your life and only you can say how much of a hurry you're in to get pregnant.

Agree with everything Erin said! Two cycles is really nothing. Don't start dropping sway tactics already. Like Erin said, it's a GOOD thing that your cycle has changed and that you're seeing less EWCM, that means your swaying is working. Don't quit now! The idea behind swaying pink is to reduce your fertility so try not to stress that it's taking a few months.
I'm the same as you (although a few years older at 34) with 4 boys, only having tried for 1 of them and my youngest will be 2 in August. I'm hoping to get pregnant quickly too so I'm sure I'll feel the same as you if it takes more than 2 months, but I'm trying to prepare myself.Mama to four sweet boys

Oh and to answer your question, yes I do think you should stick with one attempt. If you want to drop something, maybe drop the Aspirin but definitely don't add attempts just yet. As mentioned, try the every 4 days method if you're worried about not getting a peak reading. That will hopefully give you one attempt in the fertile period as well.

Since you are having trouble with your clearblue I would advise you to BD every 4 days starting after AF and going through till when you're sure you Oed. That way you're in with one attempt no matter what. Then if you WANT to, you could also add in an additional attempt at positive oPK (but you don't have to, you may also choose to try with just every 4 days for a couple months)
if you post a chart I can look at it and tell you when I think you Oed.
What I don't want you to do is now decide you're infertile and start doing everything to get pregnant. This is one of the main reasons people get opposites. It's fine for us to start changing things to up odds of conception, but they need to be the right things.
You should not be doing aspirin with asthma. Wean off that right away (don't just drop it) and do not resume.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thank you so much!!! I feel so much better.
I didn't know that about the aspirin.
We will do every 4 days then. This is the month we originally wanted to conceive, so I really hope it works! We're military and due to transfer just over a year from now, and I really want to have the baby before we have to move.
I'll try to figure out how to post this past chart!

I didn't record every CM observation. I wasn't sure how to record what the clear blue readings were, but I did get highs, just no peak.

Exception with aspirin - if your doctor has prescribed it for you. I'm talking about self-dosing. Aspirin is one of the most common allergens and we found several people started taking it and began experiencing an increase in severity and frequency of their asthma attacks.
