I am due to start ttc in September but my diet has not been 100% over the last couple of weeks, some days I've been under limits and some days over (I don't actually track what I'm eating I just roughly count in my head), a few bits of chocolate cake have also snuck into my diet :-D now I know cheats are encouraged but I feel I may have cheated a little too much, either that or I'm being too hard on myself. I have managed to stick to doing cardio at least 5 days a week for at least an hour, this week I will do 1.15 each day as I'm only going to do it 4× this week as I go on holiday on Saturday. I'm also worried that with me going on holiday I will be unable to do cardio and my diet again may not be brilliant, although I will do what I can. With all that in mind would you advise I put my first attempt back to October? I am currently on birth control and I will be using antihistamines as I need them for allergies so I don't expect to get pregnant straight away anyway. I have been on le diet on and off since my baby was born but switched to pcos diet a few weeks ago. I know nobody can tell me what to do for the best but I would just love some advice. Thanks :-)

chocolate cake is not cheating! It's the overall totals of the day and not any one food that sways. Sugar is fine for a girl sway and even encouraged as empty cals (unless you're PCOS, then just keep it in check) I would definitely try in September. You have lots of other good things going for your sway too like exercise so I say go for it!

Thank you for the advice :-) I am following the pcos diet but I don't know that I have it, I had a failed sway on the normal le diet (although personally I think thats because I was being very obsessive over everything lol) so I am going this route now I'm trying again as atomic said its a good idea. I have had some bad food days of late and I just worry I've damaged the good I've done but I know atomic will say thats silly lol as its overall pattern that matters and not any one or two days, think I'm just looking for some reassurance so thank you :-)

Yesterday I was WAAAY over on both my protein and fat. Like, badly over. I am not delaying my next month's attempt, just trying to be good for the rest of the week! Also going on holiday tomorrow for 5 nights though, so it may not happen...

I'm also feeling the same way. We are attempting in September too and I can't help but doubt what I am doing. Currently on LE with no supps but find myself eating the same things everyday as I know its in the limits. Wanting to add in fibre too! I think as long as you are consistent within the limits and the cheats are not week long binges then I think your in for a good shot of Pink!
Just remember no matter what we do we can always get a girl or boy swaying or not swaying, so please try not to get disheartened
Everything you are doing will be swaying in your favor! I totally know what you mean by obsessing though, its so easy to do that but It won't help swaying for a girl as I've read, I do however find myself analyzing everyone I see with girls/boys now to see if they fit the swaying profile of the gender they have LOL!

Oh gosh I'd never postpone an attempt for that!!
Above all else though you have to do what YOU can live with. If you will go 1000 lifetimes of regret if you TTC and get an opposite then you may want to put it off, but at the same time, remember, you may be skipping the absolute perfect month in favor of a lesser one. What we see about swaying is the tip of a very huge iceberg and it's never obvious on the basis of a bit of chocolate cake if you'll conceive a boy or a girl!!!! Thank you ladies for your advise. I am now back off my holiday and as I suspected I did not do the diet very well at all for the whole week, I still skipped breakfast, but I did snack and I was over my limits more than under during the week so I am still in two minds over whether or not to go ahead. I think the only aspects of the diet I continued were caffeine, fiber and alcohol, everything else went out of the window. I am now planning on getting on with 6 weeks of cardio before considering my first attempt, I'm just nervous that my diet has been terrible for the last week or so lol.

A week is not a dealbreaker but it's best to regroup now and move forward from here.

Honestly I didn't eat perfectly but I did give up meat which I believe helped a ton!
I even was on iron pills for about a month. I did no exercise because I was already way under weight.
But, I think excerise and vegetarian diet does wonders.
Mandy your diet was very good you can do this! Keep it up I actually still I'm addicted to the le diet but I make myself eat now since I have to for my baby girl.
I agree with sticking to coffee and alcohol daily I think alcohol helps also. Do the best you can do.
