[QUOTE=Throwaway_panther;853525]How big were you (or anyone else's) lunches and dinners? I feel like I need to eat half a sandwich at lunch to feel hungry enough to snack.

Half a sandwich I want your life! Lol...

But if you had a sandwich at lunch usually, would that be you done until dinner?
Every time you make a cup of tea just have it with your fav biscuits!

Happy with my crew and no more are due xx

not eating can be suppressive of appetite as your metabolism shifts and your stomach shrinks. That's why the blue swayers have such a time with the HE Diet when for many of us all-boy moms, it's about what we eat normally anyway.

A lot of the blue swayers do not eat breakfast or lunch, and then have only dinner. This is a regular thing for them.

My mom never ate breakfast except occasionally on the weekend. Then she'd have a small, child-size hot lunch at her school (she was a grade school teacher) and then dinner. That was it. I never saw her snack after work, and while she did occasionally have a snack after dinner, it was something very small like a piece of bread or a couple teaspoons peanut butter with (fake) maple syrup in it. Drank black coffee all day.

My mum (who only had me) never ate breakfast, had a hot lunch (meat/ potatoes/ veggies/ gravy) then maybe an apple/ piece of toast or something else teeny tiny for 'dinner'. She was a UK 10 (and this is going back 30 odd years so probably similar to a UK 8 now I'd say) X

Yup, so me. IF I ate, it'd only be dinner.

I'm definitely at at least 3 meals a day and my only caffeine is tea, just need to practice snacking -- I had gotten SO good at it when pregnant.

And sorry everyone for accidentally taking over this thread! 😅

No, I am liking how it's shaping up! Very informative. I like a lot of posts in as few threads as I can manage because it's less reading for everyone.

It's so funny- my biggest meal is dinner. I would call my first meal barely anything at all, like 200-300 calories at most. My second meal, if I have one, is like 400 calories. My last meal is decent at around 700-800 calories. No snacking! I'm still breastfeeding so I'm aiming for 1500-1700 calories a day.

With my boys I always had 3 smallish meals and at least 2-3 snacks somewhere in the day. I never ate a whole lot in one sitting, I just kept my blood sugar stable. I loved my tea! Green and black teas were/are my favorite! I miss them [emoji20]!

    You're doing great TP!!

Hmmm... ok so if the skipping breakfast thing is maybe not such a big deal, can I not feel guilty about adding creamer to my coffee in the morning? I'm not "officially" swaying quite yet but have started skipping/delaying breakfast. It's not so bad, but I do I find I really need my coffee still - both for the caffeine and to have something in my stomach. BUT I drink it with a good amount of creamer in it (I also add Stevia)... Right now I use Coffee Mate "Natural Bliss" which has nonfat milk, heavy cream and sugar but could switch to another kind (and can also switch sweetners if needed). I feel like having the creamer though is undoing my not eating breakfast. Thoughts?

Also Atomic - does your thinking that skipping breakfast is not a critical element in the sway also apply to the PCO-tendency swayers with possible IR issues, or is it more important for our type to skip breakfast?

I use coffee mate and a dash of full cream milk too. I couldn't survive until lunchtime without that. It's such a big change from what I used to do (big bowl of cereal or two piece of buttery toast) that I figure it has to help my sway in some way.
