I think the key is to have a nice range of nutrients (from food AND vitamins) and just be healthy. Lots of women also sway girl hardcore and have boys, and they are eating nothing and putting sperm-killers in their vag....you just never know. I would definitely say DON'T get to gaining a lot, you will feel badly about yourself and it may not help in the end anyway.
I am leaning towards thinking like this more and more. Lola, you are such a wonderful person. With all you are going through you still manage to give out great advice without being judgmental at all. So thanks

2)Yes, your metabolism can change, esp. if you add more muscle than fat. You'll burn more cals all day long with muscle.

3)You can def. drop down to 2 snacks a day - have breakfast first thing, then a midmorning snack, then lunch, afternoon snack, and a later dinner...or else just an earlier dinner and then a bedtime snack, whatever works with your schedule. Make very sure you are doing both proteins and carbs at every meal and snack though.
I have been doing weights for about 5 months now. But I have only put on the weight in the last few weeks so I'm convinced it is from the food and not muscle mass.

If I drop a snack it would be the mid afternoon one. Are these meal times ok... Breakfast at 8am, snack 10am, lunch 1pm, dinner 6pm and snack 10pm. Or is there too big a gap between the snack and dinner?

Give it a try and see. If you find yourself getting very hungry between lunch and dinner, eat something between even if it's only a string cheese or 8 nuts, with some of your fruit juice, or something. If you don't get hungry, then go with it as long as you're eating protein + carbs and lunch and dinner.

Just to share my experience, as an adult, I don't EVER go 5 hours without eating. :/

Aw Bec, thank you! Well, this is a great site and resource, and I'm glad to help others get a boy even if I can't! I know how frustrating the weight thing is, though, trust me! The best thing is to get preggers FAST so you don't have to do the diet too long. Wishing you tons of luck!!!!
