I have started the LE diet plan today but 12 weeks from today will take me to Xmas. I am planning on having a few weeks off at Xmas and then try conceive March / April next year . Is there any point in starting the diet now ?? I do have weight to lose but does the diet work at 12 weeks only as a shock to the body or is it better if it is a complete lifestyle change ??

If you know you won't TTC until March/April of next year, I would work on cutting out snacks now, or delaying when you eat breakfast. I would pick one to work on and that way when you get ready to TTC, the diet will be easier for you.
GL to you!!

Thank you . I would try to conceive in 12 weeks but I don't really want another September birthday . So I might try November and if don't fall first time try in the new year for oct thank you the snacking is going to be the big change for me I didn't eat breakfast when I conceived my boys but I have always snacked and grazed throughout the day so this is going to be a big change x

The "shock to the body" idea did not seem to work at all and we found that longer on diet was better even when you didn't do it that strictly the whole time. 12 weeks or longer is all good.
Now, would I go onto LE for 3 years - no. In that amount of time your body probably would adjust. But 6 months would be ok.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

That's great thank you . I'll stick with it . My mum has 2 girls and she was a vegetarian when she conceived and has always eaten a low fat diet and exercises a lot so I thought if I can change my lifestyle this may help . Thank you x
