Bunny--they are SO freakin cute!! I can't believe it's been 3 months already. They look so big!
Two--Being tongue tied runs in our family--about half the kids my brothers, sister, and I have had have needed clipped. You are spot-on to get it done as soon as possible like this. With my oldest, the doc said we should wait to see how it developed. Bad advise. Nursing was SO painful! But he gained weight and ended up speaking fine, so we didn't get it done. By the time he was six, his oral hygiene was terrible because he was so severely tongue tied that his tongue couldn't clean his teeth like normal and his jaw was growing oddly. But by then he was old enough to be freaked out a the idea of surgery. So, we waited until he was nine to have it done. Such an easy procedure and he recovered in a couple of days. But even now at 16, he's still feeling the effects of not having it done early. He's looking at major jaw surgery to correct the way his bones grew. :/ Anyway, a little sad to do on a baby, but so much better in the long run. We had scissor clipping, but I know my niece had the laser when she was a baby, and it worked out fine.

So I went to the midwife today and my Bp was high (for me) - started at 134/74 and I got it down to 122/74. I know they aren't worried until 140/90 but given I'm usually 100/60 I found this odd. Anyone else ever experience this? They also ended up doing a non-stress test because baby's heart rate was a little low and she wasn't as active as they would have liked...never had these issues last time. My midwife said I'm 1.5 cm dilated and doesn't expect me to last much longer which is a relief because now I'm stressed and worried (probably unnecessarily) .

you got more blood volume. And BP is quite good. The under pressure is more important then the higher one (don't know the medical terms in english.) you'll be fine!

Congrats girldreamz and two on the birth of your babies!!!
Bunny girl- the twins are adorable!!! Getting big.
My baby is 1 month old this week. Last weekend I had an emergency appendectomy. I had to sleep in a lawn chair the first couple nights home, wear diapers because I can't make it to the bathroom fast enough for this instant diarrhea, so much pain and pressure when I poop or have gas. It's horrific!!!! My appendix was super infected so I had to poop the infection out for a couple days ( borrowed a baby's butt cream!!!). Seriously, this has been completely ridiculous!!! I only lost 5 pound from my delivery (gained 30) and now have had this surgery and have hardly eaten in a week and pooped my intestines out and haven't lost anything. Plus the gas they blew my stomach up with has made me so bloated-my stomach was looking really good, you could start seeing some of my an muscles. Also I feel like my pelvic floor was doing ok after delivery but not now. Ugh!!!!
Sorry, I needed to rant!!!!!
Good luck to everyone who hasn't delivered yet!

Oh, dpike, that sounds awful! I am so sorry! Ugh. Come rant anytime.
lala-- my bp always gets a little high at the end, too. I wouldn't worry with those numbers though. They still look very safe. Good luck--I hope little one comes soon!

Wow
Poor kid. Prayers that everything goes smoothly for his surgery and recovery.
I was told she was pretty severe tie-wise. Her lip was so tight she could not move it and her tongue was double tied or something (?)... something about being tied in front AND back. .. I don't pretend to understand it but after hearing your story and finding out worst case scenario was worse than nursing pain, speech problems, etc. I am glad we dealt with it asap. Our family is complete

If it makes you feel better my bp was over 140/90 & my OB didn't get nervous until I got dangerously close to the 160/110 mark (159/90 something). He said before that point it's more of a discomfort issue (from swelling, etc) but that is the point where they start seeing problems.
Speaking of BP.... does anyone know how long b4 bp returns to normal?? Mine is still high. It bounces up and down and one time it could be 130's/90's and the next time 159/101 (highest one since she was born so far. Gonna talk to OB at appt this week but wondered if maybe one of u might know. My swelling is about 95+% gone but high bp worries me esp since my norm is usually something around 110/60.Our family is complete
