Thank you so much. Your reply was great. Over the years of swaying I've often said to myself "do I want that pizza more than I want a girl?!" to which the answer is always "no". You've helped to remind me of that. So I'll go to California and eat vegetarian low fat foods and enjoy my wine and cocktails while I can. X

Most people find that when they're on holiday it's actually really quite easy to stick to mostly LE without even trying because everything still seems a treat- you go out, have a vegetarian entree (you are going to the best place in the world for vegetarian cuisine) or Mexican (again, best in world), fish or shellfish or even just a big salad and dessert, whatever you want, feels like a huge splurge but really it isn't. When you don't have to cook it even relatively Spartan meals can feel liek a treat. I mention this not to encourage you to eat Spartan meals, but just to demonstrate the principle - you are almost certainly going to be doing better than you think you are!!!
You have been on diet long enough and I think it's fine for you to relax a bit (and in fact i'd want you to so you don't get too depleted after that long a time!!)!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks Atomic. I'm not too concerned about the length of time in that I've been less extreme with the diet than with DS3. I'm still 12lb heavier than my lightest weight on LE so I'm not stick thin this time. My feelings are that the double dose of meds I took this year have confused my poor body and it's trying to readjust within the nutritional realms of LE. It'll get there though, I'm sure.
So I have a plan. Be a Californian vegetarian who drinks alcohol and coffee. I wish I could stomach diet coke :-)2009
