Hi girls!
I am completely new to swaying, never even heard of the word before a couple of weeks ago. I am lapping up all the information in the forums and I am so grateful of the wonderful people that keep posting information on the site!
I am however at a loss about the things I read because it seems to me I was keeping all the pink advice, when I conceived my son. That was two years ago, I was 37, my DH was 50 (age sways pink), we were mostly vegeterians (sways pink), I was on metformin (sways pink), I had lost a couple of pounds, DH loves cycling and hot baths, we leave in scandinavia where liquorice root is on the menu almost every day as a candy..... seems to me we were doing everything right, without even knowing we were swaying.
Now we are ready for nr. 2 and it is going to be the last one because of our age. I am not sure what I can do different this time. Unless it was just one of those cases where everything you do is right but the result is just not the expected one.
Is there anyone with a suggestion of what I could do more?
Cheers!!

Hi and welcome
Swaying is not 100% so even though you sound like you had a very pink friendly lifestyle there is still a chance that you will conceive a boy.
Do you snack much? Do you have PCOS or are you on metformin for a different reason? If you have PCOS then look at the LE diet for PCOS. Also did you exercise much before?

Hi and welcome, Anette!
Sometimes it is possible to do everything "right" and then not have it go your way. We focus on things we can control on this site but there are some things that we just have going for us that may sway without our knowing them and also just bad luck.
I would do much what you did the last time, plus I'd be sure to cut back on any fortified foods like multivitamins (if you are not comfortable with this, just reduce to 3x a week) and add in cardio exercise.
I would also try to get pregnant with only one attempt in the fertile window if possible.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I would also try to get pregnant with only one attempt in the fertile window if possible. If this is too difficult, then try having unprotected sex every 4 days (or even 3 given your age) and hopefully you will fall pregnant right away. Have your husband release on his own or with you, with a condom, every 2-4 days (this will ensure that he is making healthy sperm)
I would NOT have you do a bunch of very harsh things like douching or vaginal jellies because they cut odds of conception by a lot and time is not on our side here. I would also have you skip timing, as it doesn't work anyway and really cuts odds of conception a lot.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thanks so much for the replies! Yes I have PCOS a did snack, I still do
Is there a cookbook for LE for PCOS? I am really bad at planning diets.
Atomic I got SO scared when I read the article about abstaining and birth defects that I think we will put off TTC for a couple of months. We have been abstaining for some months now (traveling with work and a crancky baby that still sleeps in our bed) so maybe we should get DHs production back on track before trying? Gosh, I would love a girl but I wish for a healthy baby most of all!

I'm working on one but it isn't done. I need to redouble my efforts I know. There are a lot of PCOS-type recipes and info in the 21 day diet book which we sell.
Is DH not releasing at ALL on his own??
The risks of abstain are very small, it's just that abstain does not seem to help much, if at all, as a sway tactic. So since it doesn't work, and has very small risks, I figure let's skip it, but that does not then mean that everyone (or even very many people at all) would have any problem with a baby's health conceived that way. A lot of months of abstain is never a good idea for anyone's sperm health, that's for sure.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
