Hello everyone!
I'm looking for some advice / encouragement.
I'm feeling deflated & like maybe I'm just designed to have boy babies! I know I have higher androgen levels & worry that my sway is pointless because of my hormones. I've never been diagnosed with PCOS but I have long cycles, troublesome skin / hair, but conceived both my boys easily so doubt I could get clomid.
So, any advice from those with higher androgen would be MOST appreciated - any stories of success?! I've been on the pill before but it took me 12 months to get my period back so not too keen on using BCP as a solution to the increased androgen.
Thanks for reading!

Have you asked about getting Metformin? That helps with longer cycles and hormone levels.

We have TONS of ladies on here with severe PCOS (and androgens thru the roof) getting girls with diet and lifestyle changes.
Is there any way to get in to your doctor and possibly get some spirolactone?? you'd have to come off of it 6-8 weeks before TTC, but the effects can last quite some time after that. It will really help to lower your androgen levels.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

Thank you both very much! I'm glad to hear there are lots of ladies having success w diet & lifestyle - does that apply to ladies who have more mild symptoms without access to clomid, or other forms of drugs?
I think I need to go & talk to my doc about options - will investigate the spirolactone & Metforminthank you!

Yes!!! I even have ladies who just seem to have some tendencies towards PCOS (long cycles, trouble shifting weight) to do diet and lifestyle and have good results with just diet and exercise and one attempt.

I'm doing okay w the diet but no exercise, will try & find some time / motivation for that (though I'm already quite thin concerned about weight loss & energy + i'm still breastfeeding my 18mo twice a day).

Even if you can only do moderate the benefits to your blood sugar are so huge that you should include exercise with PCO whenever possible.
