Releasing and dumping does not do away with the unhealthy sperm from the abstain, unfortunately - all it would do is cut odds of conception.

Your body makes HCG for lots of different reasons. Even your husband can get a line on an OPK sometimes (faint but still there) So it may be just HCG that is registering, OR it may be that your body "thought" about ovulating, surged, and then your body was like "nah, not yet" and then did not ovulate. In that case then you'll get another positive at some point and then ovulate then. Originally Posted by squigglepink
