That's not how it works. The opks only measure the amount of LH in your body as it begins to rise. You can ovulate MUCH later after getting a positive opk. When the opks go negative, doesn't mean that you have or will ovulate. All that it means is your surge has peaked. For example, I got an opk on CD45 last cycle and FINALLY ovulated on CD57! Your body can gear up to ovulate but only will when the conditions are right.
Be sure to keep having attempts at least E3D to be within an attempt. Also, don't despair that the egg is bad! On contrary, rest assured the egg is healthy when it is finally released!

Robin, i think you O in cd 16.
there is something called a "slow rise" where it takes 3-4 days to see a rise in temps. Not everyone gets a dramatic spike every month.

I'm cramping...it's not looking good for me. I have to double my vitamin d levels, because I am so deficient. I was told that is why my cycles have been so wacky. Ironically, this cycle is my most normal cycle yet due to starting vitamin d the week before I ovulated! Who knew this vitamin was so important to fertility!

Nothing for me yet, started spotting for 5 min. the day before my period and the day my period was due which was 12-2 and so far today nothing going to see if my temp drops any lower in the morning.

Bad news for me. Both my sons had the worst case of gastro Saturday, just puking their little guts out. I caught it and I've been sick all night. As I was wretching I felt something "pop" and my underwear soaked with pinkish fluid. It really seems like amniotic fluid not cm, although I would've thought 4 weeks would be too early for that. I think I'm out or will be soon. :-(
This is probably a dumb question but do I need to go to a doctor? When it's so early that it's a chemical can you just assume everything will come out on its own or is there any danger of retained tissue?Last edited by Erin514; December 4th, 2016 at 02:59 AM.

Erin I don't think amniotic fluid would gush like that so early. It is possible a blood vessel in your cervix might have ruptured with the force of the vomiting and caused the pinkish fluid. I'd stay positive but definitely get medical advice. When I have chemical pregnancies my normal period always came on just a little bit later or round about the time it was due. Hope your family are feeling better :-(

Erin, I would't think it is amniotic fluid this early as it is only just starting to build up and the actual sac is so tiny at this stage. It is possible with the vomiting you could have had some bladder leakage and if there was a small amount of spotting it could come out pink.
If you have a chemical you will get a period which may be a bit heavier than normal but at this stage there isn't enough developed for retained products to be a problem. If you have had no bleeding then you are most likely still pregnant.

Erin, I'm so sorry you and your family are so sick! I hope you all have a speedy recovery!
Illness when pregnant is never fun. I agree with the others that as long as you aren't having any bleeding, you are most likely still pregnant. I would try to rest as much as you can. At this early stage, and even beyond, the baby is very well protected and can withstand a lot. Maybe make an appointment with your doctor or at least let them know what you experienced at your next check-up. You're probably too early for a scan at this point, but by letting them know you had been very ill and your concerns, they might schedule a scan in the future at the appropriate week.
(((Huge Hugs)))

Thanks for your replies, ladies. I could tell it wasn't leakage from my bladder. I just had a tiny bit of cm with more blood this morning but nothing like my period yet (which was due 2-3 days ago). I just don't know whether to be hopeful it was from my cervix like babygirlquest suggested or if I should be expecting my period to show. I guess I could try to find someone to check my HCG levels to have some idea what's going on while I'm too early for a scan. My family doctor takes months to see so I'd have to try a walk in...
