I just wanted to update you all that my DS2 is doing phenomenally well today! He finally was able to let us coax him into taking pain medicine, and he started to feel TONS better! The real test will be on Monday when the steroid they gave him yesterday at the hospital wears off, and we have to give him an oral dose at home. It tastes wretched!

This cycle may not be a wash, but I don't have much hope since I haven't been able to conceive from an O-2 attempt. Who knows though, anything is possible!

    Questions, Concerns, & Updates

I just had my vitamin d levels rechecked (I've been supplementing for 7 weeks now) and it is 34.8- the normal range is 30-100. For 4 weeks I took 6,000 IU daily and then 4,000IU daily for 2 weeks. For the past week I've been taking 2,000IU daily. My doctor told the nurse to tell me to keep doing what I'm doing?.

My question is, how much should I take? The nurse never told me :/. I'm thinking I probably should at least take 2000IU daily or 4000IU every other day. I know the RE wants my levels to be at least 40-45 prior to getting pregnant. Im not sure if I should go back to taking 6000IU daily or not.

    Thanks!!

    Questions, Concerns, & Updates

Well I have gotten a tentative BFP tonight on a Wondfo and curved FRER after dinner with a 1hour hold tops. It was concentrated though.

I messaged my doctor and he wants me to take 4000-6000IU daily throughout my pregnancy. My levels were so low and they really haven't improved as much as he would like. I am also deficient in so many other vitamins too except iron and ferritin. I guess I am one of those crazy people that has hemoglobin levels in the upper twenties to upper thirties making it very unlikely for an iron deficiency.

I'll test again in the morning with FMU and after AF is late in 2 days.

    The waiting continues...[emoji6]

Congrats XX!! I hope it is a sticky one!

Sounds like it is a good idea to keep taking at least the 4000IU of vit D. They do check it when pregnant although I have forgotten why it was important already (baby brain). I'm the opposite to you, great vit D levels but not so good iron. They did have an article come out recently linking low vit D in pregnancy with Autism but then I also feel like everything causes Autism so it probably isn't something to stress about. It did give me a little reassurance that mine was a good level as DS1 has high functioning Autism.

Anyway, I'm very excited about your tentative BFP!

Deficient levels, not low levels, can cause preeclampsia. This would explain why I had high blood pressure after my DS3 was born. I was deficient while TTCing him and didn't adequately supplement while pregnant. I thought being outside as often as I was would be enough. Luckily, my BP went back to normal after 3mo PP. I thought I might be pregnant at my annual check up two days ago, when my BP was 120/70. While this is normal, it is NOT my normal. I'm hoping the higher I get my levels, the more normal my BP stays.

I'm also going to keep up with the exercise and go back to my regular diet.
