Mum of 4 this is such amazing news for you. I know it's my overly emotional pregnant state but I just teared up and I don't even know you.

One attempt 3 days before ovulation (charted temp and OPK), no orgasm (did with 4 boys), j & d, LE diet for about 2 months, fasting til after noon, drank coffee and alcohol (don't normally) Hubby didn't really do frequent release or abstain..we were going to abstain for a week before our attempt but I was worried about defective old sperm as he is 47, so he relieved himself 7 days before our attempt then again 4 days before our attempt just to get some fresher sperm.

I truly believe the biggest sway tactic for us was one attempt. Other than my first DS whom was conceived on ovulation day, the other other 3 boys were conceived from 2 or more attempts in fertile period. I used to think the boys were a result of having copious EWCM, but I had plenty this time too and got a girl..
All my 1st 4 boys were conceived with 1 attempt ☹ lol...this one we did 3 attempts in fertile period and still boy ha ha..maybe the diet alcohol and coffee did help?? I don't drink coffee or alcohol ...

Oh wow :/ What about timing? I know this group seems adamant that timing does not work, but I've had friends that swear by it...who knows...it's a mystery lol. I didn't think I was on the diet long enough to really have much effect

Mummy I think diet was very important and you were on long enough to change your body.

I don't drink alcohol or coffee either All Blue but I did do the LE diet very strongly with limits and no snacking.

I'm 35 (will be 36 when Isobel is born) and I supposed a big thing that I cut out of my diet for the short period was 100% fruit juice. I usually drink lots of it! But I thought maybe the vitamins and minerals may be contributing to the boy production. I'm also a snacker which I cut out and skipped eating til after midday as I also regularly eat breakfast. Who knows! Lol. Maybe even my hubby could be responsible. He gave up sugar and alcohol after he was found to have a lump in his liver (turned out benign, most likely born with it) and lossed a $hitload of weight- too much I think! He's normally around 72-74kg and now weighs about 59kg! I've heard super skinny guys are more likely to sway pink. I guess it's never really just one thing that sways but between the both of us, made a girl this time..
Oh and forgot to mention I know lots of boy producers are big meat/protein eaters, I have never been, mostly vegetarian, but I do love my sweets and carbs lol

Also worth a mention..I was at my heaviest when I conceived this time and still breastfeeding my toddler. I'm one of the unfortunate people that don't lose weight while BFing :/ and while one the diet didn't lose any weight But I was also breastfeeding when i conceived the other boys lol

So apparently the site asks us to keep these support threads to 50 pages and we are now at 79 pages so I hope no one minds if I take it upon myself to open the next thread. This also gives us a nice clean 1st post with everyone's due dates and genders. Click link below and subscribe to new thread!

Hi all just jumping back in here to update. I had the nipt done and we found out that baby is low risk for everything which is great news, such a relief! We also found out that baby is a boy! This makes baby boy #4 for us. Although my diet wasn't the best, I still changed a lot of things like no snacking and cutting back on calories and so on, along with losing 7 lbs. I also changed other things like stopping all vitamins besides folic acid and we did only one attempt after 7 days on first +opk. I had bought the plan and stuck to it as best as I could, but maybe I needed to do it longer? Idk, either way I think we are made to only make boys which a big part of me is sad, but yet I am just so happy baby is healthy as far as we know.
