Hi everyone! I am fairly new here and have spent quite a bit of time doing some research. I was first at the IG site but I find this site much more accurate and informative. Anywho, my DH recently decided that he wanted to ttc again for a girl. I've had 4 boys and 3 are still with me. We are currently in Germany and getting ready to move back to the states which shortly after my husband will deploy and we are hoping to have a bpf before then. I have not been on the diet for very long but due our circumstances we are gonna give it a shot in a couple weeks. I just wanted to say hello and give a run down on what we are doing and what we are planning to do.
Since I was doing IG diet before I am doing a mix of IG/LE but mainly on the LE side and haven't been eating until the afternoon. DH is not eating red meat and is cutting down a lot on all meat. I don't have a ton of weight to lose but I do have some so I will be using my stationary bike daily for at least 60 min.
I have been taking:
Cranberry
Cal/Mag
Vit D- previously
sudafed
DH has been taking-
Cranberry
Cal/Mag
Licorice root- We ordered but haven't got it in the mail yet
We both discontinued the Cal/Mag but only recently and im considering discontinuing the cranberry for myself, thoughts?
My husband is a heavy smoker and drinks beer every other night. I drank occasionally as well before ttc and will pick this back up.
plan is to abstain 7-10 days and bd on +opk. Replens a few hours before and sudafed 2 hours before for both. using KY Jelly and jump and dump.
I am drinking a glass a day of cranberry juice, 3 cups of peppermint tea with equal, was caffeine free diet coke but will switch to regular, coffee (re-added), and recently stopped with all the milk.
I'm pretty sure that is it. Any thoughts or recommendations? I love constructive criticism

Your husband smoking is already going to be swaying pink for you. I would drop LR as it may make his blood pressure rise (since he smokes) and it hasn't been effective for us anyway.
Our results showed that cranberry did not really do anything when taken by DW. I would wean off of it and I'd also ditch the Sudafed as that has been linked to strokes in young women. Sudafed also makes me nervous for men who smoke for the same reason. This risk is not super high, but just something for you to be aware of. I know some people do use it.
I would stop pep tea at O and not continue in the 2ww. Hubby can do pep tea too if he wants to instead of the LR.

Thanks for the reply! Since I have stopped the cranberry for myself but DH is still taking it. I've recently read about raspberry leaf tea, would that be good to add for myself? Instead of sudafed should we try Zyrtec? I believe I've seen that recomend before in here.
I can't seem to find much on this. I am in CD8 and had cramping yesterday with ewcm today and some more cramping. I normally ovulate on CD 14. I wasn't using OPKs until today but is it common to O early on the girl diet? DH has only been abstaining for 4 days now so I supposed if I am O early then we will have to wait for next month and maybe use FR instead?

I forgot to mention I started taking baby aspirin when I stopped the cranberry.

I would not add in RRLT as I believe it sways blue.
Zyrtec is safer than Sudafed but it hasn't seemed to do a whole lot in our results.

Have been doing daily for about 4 days but I will hold off until we get our personalized plan and just continue on the diet.
