My DS1 was not planned although im excited for his arrival. About two months before i concieved him i was on a diet of my own just to lose weight. I was confused as i thought this would have swayed girl. Since i tracked my food with the fitness app i went back and realized that everyday for two months i skipped breakfast, i gave up all sweets. I would eat a lot of salad and gave up carbs like rice, pasta, bread but what i noticed is i ate red meat or chicken or fish but mostly red meat every single day. I also didnt excersize only light walking here and there. Could eating so much protein(red meat) be what swayed blue for me other then things we obviously cant control like pure luck.

Hi and Welcome! High protein and especially red meat sway very strongly blue. That being said, there may have been a combination of different factors that contributed to getting your DS.
Huge congrats on your baby boy! Boys are awesome [emoji4][emoji170]!

Absolutely!!! Particularly with DD1 and a lesser extent DD2. Was probably doing 5-6 hrs of cardio per week. LE diet pretty much. Didn't usually eat til at least lunch time and had 2-4 cups of coffee per day with very little red meat. Will be a total lifestyle change for me when we finally get swaying properly.

No one can ever really know why they got a boy or a girl. All we can do is what has worked for most people, most of the time, and since we've seen great results just with vegetarian diets on their own, it does seem that eating a lot of meat may sway blue. But I can't tell you if that was THE reason or just part of the whole.

Just to be the odd one out I got my two boys on a purely vegetarian, carb heavy diet (with no exercise). I conceived my (angel) daughter on a high protein diet, no red meat though just chicken & fish. I honestly think it was the heavy cardio that swayed it for me.

you absolutely can get a girl on a very low carb diet - it's restrictive and does force your body to burn stores of fat as fuel (something that seems to sway pink for reasons we don't totally understand) especially when doing cardio. It's just that I don't think it's the BEST most reliable way to get a girl (and the VERY low carb diets are not a healthy pre-pregnancy diet and may harm your ability to get pregnant).
