Hi everyone!
I'm currently 12 days into my pink sway lifestyle and feeling pretty good about itI've managed to do my 60 minutes of cardio for 11 out of those 12 days and it honestly hasn't been as difficult as I expected to fit it into my day!
Food-wise I've stopped eating meat and found that my protein and calorie intake has slotted into place quite nicely as a result of this, so all going okay there too. I've cut out snacking between meals, and I am having two meals a day. It's still early days, but I'm feeling cautiously optimistic!
My question comes regarding whats best for the breakfast skipping. I'm actually fine with this - I've always preferred having my evening meal about 8/9pm, then nothing until after 12pm the next day so it comes naturally to me anyway. However - until just now, I hadn't been taking into account my cups of coffee. I know coffee is good for a pink sway which is why I switched from tea, but I have mine with semi skimmed milk - maybe around 30ml per cup (no sugar but a sweetener), so about 15 to 20 calories per drink I reckon. And I probably have 1 or 2 cups spread out over the morning before my lunch at 12pm. I was wondering if this is enough to cause my blood sugar to rise, therefore ruining the efforts of skipping breakfast to keep blood sugar low?
Also, though I am no longer snacking, I am having coffee with milk pretty much whenever I feel like it. As I'm not restricting to just having them with meals, does it count as a snack in terms of blood sugar?
I could try to switch to black coffee, but it might be more of a struggle for me to stick to (it's kinda yuck). The alternative is just having water, but coffee definitely helps my day at work go a little easier
Thanks in advance for any advice![]()

I believe that atomic says she had coffee with milk or sugar when she conceived her DD.
Personally, I worked myself to artificially sweetening but not putting milk in my morning coffee.K 2012

I had coffee with almond milk and sugar free sweetener before my DD. I used to follow Intermittent Fasting, which says that anything under 50 calories in the morning doesn't count as breaking the fast, so I made sure to follow that with my coffee.

Oooh glad to read that Throwaway Panther I am having unsweetened almond milk in my morning coffees (3!) due to ds2 having a milk and soy allergy. I have 3 coffees with almond milk and equal and then to get through to lunch without eating I have a Pepsi max or diet coke.

Almond milk is a good idea! It's about half the calories of semi skimmed milk I think, is that right? I haven’t actually tried it in coffee before but I like it in smoothies, so maybe I'll like it

Coffee with milk or other whitener is fine.
Technically, it should be unsweetened or with artificial sweetener (low or no calorie) but yes s someone mentioned I did choose to cheat on this and have real sugar. I don't recommend it for you guys, but it was just something that I was willing to take a chance on.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

I have some suspicions about almond milk swaying pink anyway (and I'm all but 100% certain skim milk does sway pink) so those two things are great choices for pink swayers.
BUT if you have PCO, insulin resistance, are over 38-ish, have more than 30 lbs to lose, or have any reason to believe you have trouble with insulin, full fat dairy only. Nothing carby if you can avoid it.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
