Hi,
I love protein shakes and bars they help me loose weight and kill my appetite. I have cut out dairy completely out of my diet to sway pink but these darned protein bars and shakes make me nervous with all their vitaminsAnyone know of any bars/shakes that are ok during a pink sway? Is Jay Robb egg white shake ok since it's on egg whites? Is Almased ok since it's soy? I love the Quest bars but worry about those too.
Thank you for any info.

Are you staying within the protein limits of the LE diet? Anything labeled for high protein would have scared me away during my sway.

I agree with Girlie - You most likely get too much protein from them. Personally, I would stay away from it all.

I want to stay away from them but can't
I can stay away from all the other girl unfriendly foods but the protein shake makes me less hungry and I can stick to eating 1300 cal a day and keep loosing weight. I guess I will pick the Jay Robb one which is egg whites and hope for the best sigh

The LE diet for girl sway isn't just about losing weight. It is about limits and one of them is low protein which is why most go vegetarian. 1300 is much lower than I think you are supposed to be. If you are drinking protein shakes regularly then you are probably well over your protein limits for LE. Read up on the low everything diet a bit more.

I do not recommend them for exactly that reason. They are so highly fortified and from what our results seem to show, the nutrients (in form of vitamins and fortified foods) are much more important than weight loss and you guys really need to stay away from them.

Less than 5% of all LE Dieters should be below 1500 cals. If you can't stick to 1300 cals, EAT MORE.
It is a tactical mistake to eat fortified foods (which have been linked to more boys conceived in the best study ever done on diet and gender conceived) in a misguided attempt to lose weight. Weight loss may help a little, but it's certainly been no magic bullet for us.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
