I have 4 boys here lol and I can tell you for sure when we are ttc my husband thinks it's a free for all whenever he wants so we have an attempt at least once a day I may get lucky and he wants to skip a day (not wants to but is gone for work) that's been the hardest part of my sway because he's not cooperating on e4 +1 so maybe a bunch of attempts would work well in your case ttc boy

Thankyou Ashfind. I m waiting for the flashing opk which hasn't occurred yet. Dh and I were doing after Af but stopped two days back so that we can have our 3 attempts in the fertile window. E4+1 is hard I think. Specially during O.

My flashing smiley just appeared as we speak. Tmi. Lol. Now what. When would U think we should
Bding. Should I wait for solid smiley and how often should I test now. Thanks so much ladies for all your support.

Hi & welcome skyblue!! I have 2 boys and think I unknowingly swayed blue...of course they are amazing boys, but time for a girl now! I just wanted to get pregnant at the time & wasn't researching sways. A few things that I believe resulted in my boys: Preseed, FertileCM supplement, BD 2-3 times in fertile window and before. Atomic will tell you, but timing doesn't seem to matter, but amount of attempts do. I had a hard time accepting this, but giving my e4d and 1 at pos OPK a shot. I have never been on the HE diet and have been a vegetarian since I was 13, so I don't think diet in this case helped me conceive boys. However, there are certain "boy friendly" foods that I love that I have completely cut out this time (since last June) such as potatoes, bananas, salty foods & dry cereal. Don't know if this will really help, but makes me feel better. GL & sending my blue baby dust your way!!! With all of that being said-any factors that helped you ttc a girl the first time (even unknowingly?)

Thankyou Lolabell. I am not using preseed but taking Mucinex and drinking a lot of grapefruit juice which helps with the boy sway. And eating the boy friendly food like you mentioned.

For my dd, We were ttc for 5-6 months and I remember that we didn't dtd a lot. I was dieting and skipped breakfast most days so swayed for a girl unknowingly. But we did try to dtd eod starting day 11 and beyond day 16 since we were getting worried and impatient. That is one of the reason I m scared to try unprotected before POS OPK. That's all I could remember.
I come from a family of a lot of girls and just one boy so sending you all the pink dust. All the best and so great to have u all sharing the same experience.

Lola stick with the e4d + 1 and try not to stress, remember that's why you switched to it bd today and again at pos opk. Even with your usual signs there is no way to be certain o will happen on time so stick to your plan. You're nearly there!!!! Alternatively you can hold off until pos opk which will give you your definate one attempt only but also lower odds of conception. Go with what your comfy with or do what I used to do and flip a coin

Ash I'm sorry you still have no flashing smiley hang in there! It will happen any day now and likely be less days of flashing before solid which will be a plus!

Maxim I would love to adopt and think its the most beautiful thing you can do for a child who has no one. It's heartbreaking to think there's even one child like that let alone millions

Skyblue yay for flashing smiley!! If your heart is set on no unprotected bding until pos opk then continue as you are until the smiley is solid. With these digis you can test more than once a day once its flashing but unless you know you have a short lh surge I would stick with testing using the fmu only. If you aren't successful this cycle then maybe consider additional testing at flashing smiley next cycle. How exciting!! You are one step closer to the 2ww!!!!

Yay pbn that's great it's holding off for you! And I'm thinking I may have fewer days of flashing since I'm using the same stick as last cycle.
Sky we have 4 boys and my husband is a machine we more than likely had 7 attempts in my 7 day fertile window lol and I'm not joking at all.... tmi it's exhausting sometimes haha!

Ashfind, I had the same thing last cycle. I ended up stressing myself out so much over not getting the solid smiley that my O got delayed almost 3 weeks. I know it's hard, but try not to stress about it (as I'm in the same boat right now). It will happen...

On a totally different front.... One of my friends recently adopted a baby from China. They were pregnant and lost the baby at 37 weeks in utero. It was horrific and they decided that they didn't want to try again, and went the adoption route. My husband and I were talking about it last night and said that if we don't get pregnant this month, we are going to look into it as well. We are blessed with two beautiful girls, and as much as we want to have more of our own, there are so many babies and little ones in need. I looked briefly online and the stories are just so sad. Has anyone ever thought or looked into adoption?

Hello Maxim. So sorry to know about your friend. A few relatives have adopted babies in our family. Some of them are in college now. It's an amazing feeling.

Hmmmm lola I would call that pos or just short of pos.... what time is it where you are? I'm thinking that your scheduled bd tonight will cover you attempt wise as you'll likely o in the next 48 hours 😀 so either way you'll have either a 1-o attempt or 2-o attempt!! How exciting!! Looks like you'll be our first 2 week windower lol!! Let is know if you're testing again tonight! And can't wait to see tomorrows!!
