When to dtd using ic opk

Just a quick question- if I am using one step ic opks, should I wait for solid line to be positive for our one attempt? We missed it last month. I was thinking of having the one attempt the day before (when it's strong but not positive) as it's usually cd14. Or is this too risky? Tia!

Currently cd9- have only dtd cd7 and cd8 (protected). Is it worth keeping this up or should we abstain? Was going to forget about frequency and just do one attempt around o which is cd14. Or is this boy territory? I'm starting to panic now about frequency!

Btw we aren't in a huge rush for bfp, but would like it to happen asap. Hopefully within a few months. Probably over- thinking!

What I would do instead is have you BD every 4 days (starting when AF ends and going through till when you are sure you've ovulated, even if it means going through till next AF. That way you're covered in case you O early OR late. Just having one extra attempt doesn't do this, because if you O a couple days early or a week late those attempts will still not be viable.

I thought one attempt was better than e4d? Do you think forget about frequency of dtd too? (i.e. Not releasing)

If you want to get pregnant fast, and you're missing the pos OPK, then e4d is better

If you're really too nervous to do the e4d at the outset, you can try e5d or even more like 6-7. The odds are not great of conception but you may get lucky. and at the same time you can do the OPK and see when you get your positive. If it's been like 5-6 days you can decide, 'ok yes I'll attempt now' but at least you're not out the whole entire month if the OPK never comes.

The frequency stuff hasn't really panned out. E4d does seem to be working. Totally up to you though.

Is your cycle usually fairly regular? If it is, another option is simply to pick a day 1-3 days before you expect to O and have attempt that day
