Hi.I'm mother to 5 boys, the last 2 I kinda swayed but not seriously if that makes sense.well my next child will be my last so I'm putting everything into our sway to give us the best chance of conceiving a DD.I've been experimenting how things affect my PH and I'm slightly worried.at the moment I'm just taking supps and using a fingertip of acijel every other day.here's what I found.firstly acijel works wonderfully for memy PH stays low and has not risen above 4.5,I'm also taking x2 cranberry tablets per day.along with calcium, mag, vitc, and b6.as of yet I have not started the diet but I have added dairy and yoghurt and cut down on the sodium.the past few times I've checked today (like 3 times )it's been 3.9.this worrys me considering I've not started the diet.do you ladies have any words of advice for me.this is CD 13 I will ovulate tomorrow or the day after maybe I should wait and see what my PH does during ovulation before deciding what to do diet wise ! All advice welcome.thank you !

I agree, it's pointless taking your pH unless you're testing your fertile mucus. The normal vaginal secretions are meant to be around a pH or 4/4.5.

Update?? Did your pH rise at ovulation??
You may be testing the pH of the Acijel and not the actual CM, because some supps can dry up your CM.
Personally, I wouldn't worry about it and would just give it a shot and see what happened. I wouldn't use any extra jelly or douches or anything with that low a pH.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

It didn't raise or only very slightly never above 4.5 well it hasn't so far and I'm ovulating now.I had a +OPK and ferning yesterday and im cramping and having right sided pain as we speak.the mucous I'm testing is as fertile as it gets (I don't get EWCM it's usually watery but I have noticed with the supps the mist fertile it gets is of watery/creamy consistency.what do you advise I do diet wise.I'm so unsure what to do for the best.also if you don't mind advising me, I've not bothered to take vitex as my cycles are very regular.I also havnt taken any saw Palmetto.how much of an affect could this have on a sway.meaning will our sway really benefit from taking it ? DH hasn't started the supps yet but his PH is around 8.he will not do any type if diet.this makes me nervous but he's a very fussy eater at the best of times.his choice of good is very limited do I can understand his reasons.
Any advice offered is very much appreciated !

make sure you're actually testing CM and not vaginal secretions as those will always be crazy low pH, I can typically only test pH around O since that's the only time I have enough to get an accursedness reading.

If it is a solid 4.5 I wouldn't worry because your DH's pH will simply counteract that. My husband would do nothing to sway and the good news is that the evidence indicates the diet matters mostly for DW.
I do believe that sways benefit from both vitex and saw palmetto, but please realize that of all the baby girls ever conceived, the vast majority were done without taking either. So if you don't feel good about it, don't take them, no worries.
A LOT of people (myself included) have conceived opposites with pH so I am not really convinced it matters too much with swaying. I would go for it if you didn't already (sorry I couldn't answer this sooner BTW)!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!
