I have had all of mine unmedicated except the last one. I was given an IV drug (can't remember which one) and I will never do that again. On top of not doing much for the pain, I was hallucinating and had to really focus on the fact that I was having a baby. It was nuts. And I lost 2 hours with my baby. I can't remember his first 2 hours of life. Gone.

Deep breathing helps me through it the best. But that is what works for me. I have to have my DH there to remind me to breath because I have a bad habit of holding my breath. And I have realized when I get to the point of "I can't take this anymore" it is right at the transition to pushing. SO now I know when I feel that, it is almost over.

I will say that I have nice quick labors, I am not sure I could do it for many many hours, so just remember that if you need to, there are other options.

Thank you all. I will look into that book Sparkles.

Anyone watch the Ellen show? I applied to her Mother's Day Special today. It is for pregnant mom's expecting their first baby and films in the LA area the 2nd week of May (in case anyone else is in this area). I am praying so hard that I get a ticket. She gives away so much free stuff and it would be a huge blessing to get to go.

    Due June/July/August 2017 (2)

Weirdest thing happen today...it was like a flash back to first trimester. I ate breakfast and within minutes felt sick and minutes later threw it all up and then some. I felt fine after but it was just so strange. Hope it was a one time fluke.

On another note, how many Braxton hicks are other ladies getting daily? I get at least 12 a day, although I am not counting, doc isn't concerned, but I was just wondering what it is like for others.

I'm almost 20 weeks and have been getting Braxton hicks for the longest time as well! Just found out I'm having a baby girl after two boys and I am shocked! I had bv when I conceived (sways boy) and wasn't swaying girl at all at the time. Sometimes I wonder if the gender of a child has a lot to do with the man!

I get lots of Braxton Hicks as well. Kind of freaks me out sometimes because they are so uncomfortable! Midwives say it's perfectly normal as long as they aren't painful.

I still have moments like that too GirlieCat. My sickness never entirely went away though. It's not the same nauseous feeling I had but I still feel sick and bloated in the stomach like I need to vomit. Plus I still have the awful after taste a lot of the time which makes it worse. I spewed while brushing my teeth yesterday lol. Oh the joys of pregnancy haha. 9 weeks 3 days to go! Eeeek!!

Hi ladies. How is everyone doing? This is a very quiet group. I am 30 weeks today and full of emotions- still feels unreal, scared, nervous, uncomfortable and impatient. I wish I could say I was excited too but that is never an emotion I feel when I think of her being born. I am struggling with the concept of being a mom...

I could have written this myself !
Happened this morning and yesterday, I didn't throw up, but the nausea was so strong it kept stopping me in my tracks.

How are you feeling today ?

    Congratulations !
And yes, I think it is all up to the man really, but swaying helps the boy or girl swimmers survive or not !
